Of course "we're animals too", but the fact of the matter is that we have brains, and we can conceive of many different ways of doing things. Our "nature" is malleable. We're not hardwired like animals.

If you own a pet and eat meat, it's still fundamentally hypocritical. All that's going on there is a selective blindness- an arbitrary delineation between what you keep as a pet and what you eat. When you eat an animal, you deliberately turn off the part of you that cares about animals- this is helped by the fodd industry, who frame animals as products and commodities. This all works to build up a huge self-deception all for the sake of gratification. Then, when you've finished your meal, you turn your affection back on.

I'm sorry to say it, but if you eat meat just because it "tastes good", you're being wilfully blind for the sake of your own gratification and greed. A beautiful animal with a beating heart who was previously free had to be processed and grinded up coldy and callously by a heartless machine. It's not much less sinister that we surreptitiously inject an animal with a death serum to kill it nowadays. You're still stealing it's life to consume it, albeit in a way that "appears" to be "humane".

You don't need meat to survive. With eggs, nuts, leafy vegetables and so on, you can get everything meat gives you without the high saturated fat, and high salt content. Not to mention that you continually grow to preserve the habitats of insects and other fauna while subsisting yourself. You're slaves to an inherited imperial, exploitative, capitalist ethos. You think you're making decisions, but the market and advertisement makes all your choices for you. Try to see beyond these ambient cultural things, because they're totally toxic.

Vegetarians like other groups of people love to point at themselves and proclaim themselves to be correct. When in reality a little research will show you that your way is not the right way its just another way. + there is alot of health issues with 100% meatless diet fyi maybe do some more selective book reading.

Not true. I wouldn't eat a dog because they are intelligent and intimate. I WOULD eat a cow because they are not.

That has been the case for thousands of years. The "fodd" industry didn't invent the idea.

What is it about being a vegitarian that gives you the right to tell others how to live thier lives, we are animals, we are omnivores, we eat meat and plants, if you chose to eat only plants fine but dont preach at others because they choose to eat meat.
