Japanese game designer & creator of Okami and Viewtiful Joe IPs, Hideki Kamiya, has asked Capcom to let make Okami 2 & Viewtiful Joe 3.
Both are great series, but I particularly want an Okami 2! Okami felt like one of the best non-Nintendo Zelda-esque games ever made. It's funny now hearing Kamiya talk about its troubled production, as the game seemed pretty amazing for its time. I'd like to see how a new Okami would turn out that is not a troubled production!

Yes, let him make those games! Also, bring Viewtiful Joe 1 & 2 to modern systems, I missed out on those game the first time around.
Okami 2 would be on the cards if things went the right way for Hideki Kamiya, and PowerupGaming love for those things to line up just right.
As many ports as Okami had... youd think Capcom would want a sequel but it probably would just end up losing capcom money if they made a sequel.... how ports does the first one need plus the ds got its own version? Did this game even sell? It would be nice if platinum games would stop relying on publishers and just self publish their own games already.
Ask Capcom iirc Ikumi Nakahra was willing to direct it would love if the company gave her the opportunity to do so.
Since Okami was all about the godess of the sun, why couldn't Okami 2 be about the goddess of darkness?

when Okami was re-released for the Wii, the motion control, provided a good match for the game. now with the gamepad, it's already too obvious to even say it's perfect for it (with stylus to boot).
i do hope it's not a port of the HD for Wii U, otherwise it would already be a re-remake of a remake; if so, that's already overkill. an Okamiden 2 for the 3DS or Okami 2 for the Wii U would be better.
