“As you’ve already seen, a lot of news about Nintendo games and services that traditionally would be held until E3 is being delivered this year through Nintendo Directs, and various press events. This approach will continue between now and E3. No matter where you are in the world, you’ll be fully informed. We look forward to continuing to provide you with Nintendo news and content in ways you haven’t before experienced. Beyond the news that will be communicated through Nintendo Direct videos in the run up to E3, at the show itself we’re hosting two smaller events on Tuesday morning before the LACC opens instead of just our traditional one event. A media event and a partner presentation will both occur that morning. While the audiences will be different between the two events, both will occur on the Tuesday morning of E3 (June 11) which is the date and time period the public has come to expect for Nintendo to deliver E3 news.

Nintendo has announced its financial results for the first 9 months of the fiscal year, new official sales figures for the Nintendo Switch 2, and more.
17M+ units in 6 months! Others on this site are insisting on only 10M units. XD
And as for Switch 1 total sales, it will only take a few months for it to surpass the 160M of PS2.
I still believe the Switch 2 is not gonna be as successful as the OG Switch. We'll see ;)
That is pretty amazing. I love what Nintendo did with the Switch 2 as they fixed every issue I had with the original and it seems devs agree given the amount of 3rd party support it is receiving.
All those clickbait YouTubers and Twitter users are going to be working overtime to try and swing this as a bad thing, when it continues to defy expectations and break records.
The Switch 2 has now outsold the Steam Deck nearly 3x over and is outselling the OG Switch by nearly 5,000,000 with half a year of sales to go for its first year.

Nintendo of America is once again facing labor complaints from one or more of its workers. Game File reports that new charges accuse the Switch 2 manufacturer of violating sections of the National Labor Relations Act dealing with worker organizing and related union activities. These come just a few years after the company settled a previous labor charge with a former tester for $26,000.

Today, Nintendo announced with a press release that it has entered into an agreement with Bandai Namco Studios to acquire Bandai Namco Studios Singapore.
Great news! It's good to hear that they want to maintain the quality of the games on the Switch 2.
So Nintendo are having more Directs leading up to E3 as well as events on June 11th.
Nice one!
The more I read about this it seems like this is actually the right call. The e3 presentations as of late have often left people with more questions than answers and I feel this will be a better way for nintendo to get the message they want to across.Remember the wii u presentation that left people wonder "so what is it?" this might help eliminate those issues. It will also make it easier for people to get a better look at the games and get a deeper impression of what the wii U is about which is incredibly important at this point. It might not be the most glamorous decision but it could be just what the wii U needs. Plus nintendo directs leading up to the E3 are a major plus and could actually get a lot of attention from gamers thirsty for real news during a time that is essential just filled with rumors and speculation.
