IGN checks in with Quest Online to find out the current status of its project, the MMOG formerly known as Crusade
In the embattled fantasy world of Alganon, two organizations contend for supremacy. Naturally, their respective beliefs differ. The Asheroth faction embraces the ways of light, nature, heart and mind. Standing for order, obedience and protection, it draws in fighters who wish to represent these values. The group's traditions are notable for their refinement and sophistication, and also reflect distinct preferences for structure and cleanliness. Its members are distinguishable through their use of lighter materials, bright emblems and reflective surfaces. Up close, their eyes glow more as they gain power. In contrast, those of the Kujix darken. Their culture embodies chaos, assertion, conquest and the conviction that conflict naturally separates the strong from the weak, with power attained by subjugating the latter. They employ dark stone and crystals in their buildings, and exploit the energy from volcanoes and other underground sources.

After a series of mostly negative reviews, Alganon creator Derek Smart lashed out a couple days ago, calling the comments abusive and unfair.

Quest Online, LLC and DC Entertainment welcome comic fans to Alganon, a world where two warring pantheons of gods have pushed their followers into endless conflict.

Massively: Quest Online announced today that its free-to-play MMORPG Alganon is expanding! The game's reach grows just a wee bit longer with the launch of the Aeon server, located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Players on either continent can choose to play on either server, so there's nothing stopping North American players from throwing down with their friends across the pond.
