''The TV show Defiance has recently hit Syfy channel after months of hype. While it may look like yet another run of the mill sci-fi show, it’s relationship with it’s licensed video game is what makes it stand out….sort of.
The video game itself released a few weeks back, in a bit of a messy manner. The MMO has been marketed as a link between television and video games in one neat bundle. The events of the TV show will be reflected in the game and vice versa. We’ve been covering the our experiences within Defiance (the video game that is) in a number of pieces, which can be found here. The general feeling on the game is that it’s rather bare bones, maybe even rushed. A number of theories could be chosen as to why the game may have been rushed to the market. The most likely reason would be for the game to be launched in time for the premier of the show.''

After 8 years of Defiance and 3 years of Defiance 2050, both titles are being sunsetted on April 29, 2021.

gamigo confirmed that it has acquired major assets from Trion Worlds, known for online and console MMO games such as Rift, Defiance, Trove and ArcheAge.

"Making sure to accommodate the 4K resolution is both a benefit and a hurdle with game development," says Defiance dev.
I seen an article in gameinformer that MS will be releasing an Xbox One F. $899 with 8% increase over Xbox One X. First time I seen or heard anything about it. Is it true or was it a joke?
If X could do 60fps compared to Pro 30fps may be it would matter more. Otherwise both can do well over 1080P which is more than enough. Games is what matters most.
Did anyone like the show? it all seems to be rather 'meh' reactions from people
The show had some high points, but it needs to get a lot better real fast. Hopefully the main character turns into something other than charming older guy that is hard as nail on the outside, but has a heart of gold. I get what they are doing, the problem is that it is kind of bland. If done right though this could reach Farscape level of good. Only time will tell, regardless the game is really fun despite what most reviewers are saying.
When will people learn to proof-read their writing before submitting it to the masses? Don't they want to save themselves the embarrassment of incompetence and stupidity?
Funny how the connection to the game and show is shown right at the beginning of the show. I guess that crystal that Nolan had wasn't in the game and how the Episode Mission of them leaving San Fran had nothing to do with it after stealing it off Varus (Spelled his name wrong whatever). Yet lets also not forget that episode one gives a great idea on future content. Races, New Enemies, Weapons and hell even Vehicles we will be using as well. So the connection while they were a little weak in the first episode. It's a great taste of things to come for us who the play the game.
