The Web has been abuzz with chatter about Windows Vista's upcoming Service Pack 1 (SP1): What it will and will not fix, how it will affect performance, how long will it take to install, and so on. PC manufacturers, some journalists, and a great deal of torrent addicts already have the service pack, and ExtremeTech is among that crew.
While there are lots of things to write about SP1, the first thing ExtremeTech is going to focus on is performance. Sure, security is important as is compatibility, but ExtremeTech is hoping SP1 turns Vista into the screaming speed demon Microsoft once seemed to suggest it would be. Of course, when ExtremeTech says performance, they're mainly talking about games, but they checked out other areas in which it supposedly improves the Vista experience as well.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.

We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
what people don't know is that SP1 has nothing new to offer it only offers hot fixes and two tweaks "Performance" and "reliability" you can get those two fixes from microsoft's page.

Typical ignorant fanboy BS. I guess the dozens of firmware updates Sony has made for the PS3/PSN since launch are normal and acceptable, in your biased vision. :o MS...like ANY product mfr, continues to make improvements/enhancements, well after releasing products. If you REALLY BELIEVE this is something only MS does, you're truly pathetic.
NOBODY gets things 100% right the first time on ANYTHING.
