DmC: Devil May Cry Review | Tech Heads

This isn’t the Dante the fans remember. He’s not wearing his trademarked red, buckled coat, and he doesn’t have the hair we’ve all used to recognize him over the years. He isn’t half-human, half-demon, and his story has been completely rewritten, and guess what? That’s just fine.

DmC bombed hard even worse than Enslaved did
thx based DMC Fans ^___^

I hope we get a real DMC next gen i dont believe Capacom to risk another huge flop as DmC2 lol

Capcom will not make any more DMC's, you can be sure of that (they are very proud and used to bend and manipulate their fans). Their focus from now on will be shooters, a sporadic fighting game and shallow Wrpg's like Dragon's Dogma.

Brucis4797d ago

>Dragon's Dogma is shallow
>200 levels
>9 classes with numerous augments and abilities
>character creation for both you and your main pawn, along with renting other people's pawns

You what, mate?

Actually the HD collevtion and all the PS2 versions of Devil May Cry sales spiked (as you can see from amazons bestsellers list and other games lists). All Devil May Cry games were above DmC on all the lists for about a month (dont know where they are now) and the HD collection could have proabably even managed to sell close to or pass the sales of DmC during its launch week. I think not only did a majority of fans not support DmC, but tried to send Capcom the message, we want Devil May Cry (I was actually one of the people who bought the HD collection on DmC launch day and I'm glad I did). Hope we can see Devil May Cry returning sometime soon.

P.S. I wasn't sure if you meant Capcom wont be making anymore "DmC's" or Devil May Cry games in general

Why are reviews still being posted for this game? This is 2 months old.

What's the harm in one more opinion?

Glad this game is bombing hard.

I enjoyed this game.
Loved the old games and loved the reboot.
I get the complaints but I just had a lot of fun with it.

Williamson4797d ago

It was enjoyable but it didnt feel like devil may cry. It was too easy on nephilim and Son of Sparda, the bosses werent that much of a challenge(maybe if I played on dante must die), and one of the best things about the original games were...Dante. This dante just fails! He wasnt funny and didnt have any good one liners the original one did, this one was just gloomy for the majority of the game.

Because the anime is on Netflix and we gotta ride that DMC in the news again wave.

You sound like you’re just a ton of fun to be around.

It’s been sitting in my backlog for a while now. One of the first games I wanted to try for this current gen due to the long load times of previous gen. I’ll get around to it soon!

One of the best, stylish, and fun action slasher on the system. You definitely should get to it, as soon as you can.

solideagle386d ago

they are taking way too much time with DMC6...

VersusDMC386d ago

The DMC5 team went on to make Dragons Dogma 2, the DMC director (3,4,5) left capcom to make an action game at another studio and the rumor is that a DMC remake is next...so i wouldn't hold my breath on DMC6.

Everytime its on sale I think about buying it but never do. I only played the orginal and somr of 3 so I guess that's part of it.
