Hitman: Absolution Review | Tech Heads

The agent opens the doors in front of him and is greeted with the site of a bustling Chinatown market. A chef flips his main course into a pan, a woman talks loudly on her cellphone, and two friends talk about the big game, but the agent blocks all of that out. The agent notes the location of the policeman in the area and makes his way to the center of the market, towards a large pagoda. He looks up and sights his target, memorizing his features to ensure he has the right man. The agent observes his prey as he mills through the crowd, stopping at a nearby sushi stand to sample some food. Suddenly, the target looks the other way, opposite the agent, and no policeman are in the area. The agent zeroes in for the kill: brandishing a garret, he strikes quickly and silently. You mean destroyed it with this tethered single-player campaign BS... And only the first few levels of the third modern game were on the disc! I'll never support this crap at any price-point! They've lost me as a customer.

Hitman is, and has been, a remarkable series developed by some of the best. Some are better than others, but every Hitman is challenging and fun.

Sure, there have been some stumbles and fumbles, but always in pursuit of the perfect Hitman game. The most recent trilogy is a masterclass in level design.
