if CoD MW4 have bigger maps, more balance weapons and better spawning (CoD invent spawn trapping) then I might buy it.But it have too be for next-gen only.I understand PS3 & 360 will break records again if released on those systems.But I dont care about sales I care about gameplay.And I truly want too see an new engine and the only way i see that if CoD 4 is an exclusive next-gen title which will not happen...

But for in reality this will be the same CoD unless Activision proves me wrong.Hopefully they finally decide too make an CoD better then CoD:MW...

Should have left it COD4 style. It was simple, yet effective. However, dedicated servers, gun adjustments, spawn fixing etc... those are bigger issues imo.

I think the scorestreak system is better than killstreaks because it gives players who concentrate more on a support style a chance to earn rewards. I'm more of a support style player because my clan mates are the runner gunners. My buddies know they can count on me to take down most air support, sentrys, guardians, and any booby trap type things. I provide a crucial service to my team while they rack up the majority of our kill count and the scorestreak system over killstreak means I can play the way I play and still earn my rewards. I love the scorestreak system and hope they stick with it for the future of the series because I know I'm not the only support style player out there.

Map design is important, they got it right with MW3 but not with BO2. Notice how many second floors there is in BO2, all of them are being used as camping spots. It wasn't like that in MW3. Sure there was some seconds floors in 2 or 3 maps but it wasn't a big deal.

There is zero chance that there is a new console in 2026 and there hasn't been any chip leaks from reliable AMD chip leakers. Every single chip from AMD from GPU's to CPU's and APU's, mobile and even server chips get leaked years prior to it's release.

There is years of testing involved with making a chip, then it takes time to set up manufacturing.

MW3 was an absolute disgusting cash grab and narrative failure made by the lowest most talentless hacks in the industry. I saw so many people singing its praises thinking it will be massive and narrative masterpiece but then we saw the crapshoot that it turned out to be. Im not holding out hope for MW4 because most likely Activision will just make a subpar campaign again and throw in a bunch of Fornite skins for the MP and use the same systems the have for the last 20 yrs to build their PVP experience which will allow hackers and cheaters to run rampant again, and allow for latency problems to constantly freeze up and lag matches. Its gonna happen, mark my words these people don't learn or maybe they just think that sales are a given with COD and they don't need to fix anything or innovate truly.

I think this is poorly worded. I think they MEANT that the next COD has been built on Current gen hardware from the ground up and will be current gen only. We are, after all, playing old PS4 call of duty with current gen “seasoning”. This will be the first “next gen” (this gen) call of duty.

I'm trying to imagine the Switch 2 running the latest instalment of call of duty that is apparently is being developed on the new xbox coming in 2026. It's going to end up either very blurry or streamed via something like gamepass

all this does for me is shine a light on how easy it is to actually fix online problems for your shooters, it's just that most devs don't want to do it. or at least in this case activision didn't want to do it

Time to bust out the AN-94 & Commando. I missed the first two black ops titles dearly. I loved the smaller simpler maps vs the modern mazes and focus on vertical movements. I just want to run around and shoot stuff without all the extra effort lol. Not wall run slide into a power hop over a car to get clipped from god knows where by a random guy sniping me while they’re wall running around a corner of a street sign on the opposite side of the map. These were simpler times, this will cater best to nostalgia

It makes sense. They're likely also working on stuff like Auto HDR, FPS Boost (120hz), 4K upscaling, etc., for when these games all launch on Game Pass. One feature Xbox really needs to add for BC is some kind of proper anti aliasing. 360/PS3 games rarely had any and it was the biggest graphical issue of that generation.
