The beloved Mega Man franchise won't be able to make it to go to the shore of MMO world. Capcom just confirmed the cancellation of the Mega Man Online project that announced in 2010 and co-developed with Neowiz Games.

Super PolyPixel - Capcom is a heartbreaker. They tease us with games right before snatching them away from out outstretched fingers. The Mega Man franchise has been hit especially hard, alienating many fans. Each Capcom announcement, we wait eagerly for Mega Man news only to be denied. Capcom has seemed to focus their attention to other games: Resident Evil, Remember Me, Lost Planet 3, their endless supply of HD remakes…and we are left wistful for what could have been.
the last megman games i recently played were the ones on the ds where you could transform into the bosses and stuff that was fun

Mega Man Online has long-rumoured to have been cancelled, but now it’s been confirmed, with the developer cancelling the project last year after discussions with Capcom.
oh why its not like we never saw this coming from the past Legends 3 and universe oh god i will never get over this
Capcom became so awful, announcing games then canceling them, i stopped buying their games since the ps2 era /:

We’ve seen videos of X and Zero, but developer Neowiz plan to add more character types to Mega Man Online. Duo from Mega Man 8 is confirmed to be in the online game. He’s a powerful tank type character that uses his fists to attack.
I'm starting to get the impression that Capcom has zero confidence in the Mega Man fan-base whatsoever.
I didn't want an MMO anyhow.
