Mass Effect Q&A

Casey Hudson answers GamerSquad.com's questions concerning the highly anticipated sci-fi RPG that's inbound from the makers of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire.

The E3 demo footage released not too long ago offered a tantalising glimpse into the next-generation world of Mass Effect, but have you since found yourself wondering about the complexities of the real-time battle mechanics, the structure of the character and party evolution, the all-new and unprecedented dialogue interaction, or simply the sheer mind-boggling scope of Mass Effect's universe?

If you have, then you'll be thrilled to learn that GamerSquad asked the questions, and BioWare duly answered.

Mass Effect, developed by BioWare and published by Microsoft Game Studios will be released exclusively on the Xbox 360 videogame console in Q2 2007.

God, this game looks good. best game coming to 360? or would that be lost odessey or bioshock?

i hope they have some nice elite style of trading and smuggling. economics in space is rad! the speech system in this game is awesome, it will be like playing a movie. heheeh. i can't wait!

Sphinx7164d ago

I look forward to some sort of in-ship space stuff... you know, like fights, boarding other ships, getting boarded, finding floating stuff, etc.

Jay da 2KBalla7164d ago

This is my most anticipate game of the next gen. The graphics, the scope of the world, the speech and facial animations aer all truly unrivaled by any other game on ANY platform. Cant wait.

"There are some cool things we’ll be doing with Live, especially through a very ambitious downloadable content plan where you’ll be able to continue playing new adventures in Mass Effect long after you complete the main storyline"

I expected nothing and I'm still disappointed

Like with Fallout, it's starting to feel studios are using TV / Film adaptations when they have no game info to talk about.

toxic-inferno197d ago

I feel the same way.

I mean, how difficult would it be for them to release SOMETHING of substance? Another short trailer? A couple of proper hints? A short story set during the original trilogy, but focused on fringe characters?

Hopefully they're working so hard on the game that they don't have time. But still, with every passing year and so little to show, the franchise will be slipping further and further from people's minds.

Profchaos197d ago

Yeah agree it's almost a cop out since Dev times are 5 to 10 years just throw out a few seasons instead you get them done in a year

jznrpg197d ago

I still haven’t beat Andromeda. I am waiting for a lull of good games in my backlog

P_Bomb197d ago

So the TV show will take place after the OG trilogy. I wonder which ending they’ll use?

Rebel_Scum197d ago

Should’ve just posted a picture of an Elcor saying “regretfully, we have nothing to share.”

Good games but no Phantasy Star?

merlox1092d ago

Why do people forget Phantasy Star? That is one of my favorite RPG series. Another ther good but overlooked series is ,Y's.

ES3 set things off, it's a shame they got greedy and decided to cut corners so the executives could get huge pay days.
