There are plenty of games that have been watered down for casual players such as yourself. Go play those games and leave some for those that appreciate a technical hardcore experience. It's pretty simple, skip it if you don't like it.

Not every game out there has to appeal to you or be made for you. Rising is brilliant and a well appreciated call back to a style of game I love and have missed. It's not for you so move on and don't whine about it not being easy enough for you and use that as something to hold against it or something that makes it a bad game.

Many people love this game to death, me included. I hate hand holding in games, and love working my way through the systems and challenges on my own. The harder the better. This is the whole reason games like this are satisfying to me. I'll play this game and you can go play an easier game. Again, it's pretty simple.

Platinum Games has a huge supporter in me for creating something for the people on the other end of the spectrum than you. There is a lot to respect in this, even if you personally don't enjoy experiences like this. In other words, go play something else and leave this game alone and stop expecting everything to cater to the casual crowd you are a part of.

There, problem solved.

This feels like the epitome of a 'tepid take'. Dark Souls has always worn its gothic horror influences on its sleeve, it isn't exactly subtle.

Dark fantasy, I'd say.

Horror is a bit much. Bloodborne is closer to horror.

mh ur right actually.

dark souls plays around with horror themes without being a straight "horror" game.

bloodborn definitely starts out as that haha.
