A free, that's right, free multiplayer pack for Mass Effect 3 will be hitting all three platforms at some point today.

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

Based on one narratively fitting ending in Mass Effect 3, Prothean squadmate Javik is highly unlikely to return in the next Mass Effect game.
He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.

Why make it sound surprising that its free? All the MP DLC has been free. They've been adding absolutely tons of new characters, powers, weapon mods, gear mods, consumables, maps, objectives and even new enemies and a new difficulty. They've been adding to it since the game released - all of them have been free.
I'm not sure the exact number but I believe there's around five or six free MP DLC packs so far. Not sure about the PC or Xbox store but if you never downloaded any of the MP DLC content before you can get all of them bundled up into one pack now on the PSN. Very convenient if you never bothered getting any of them and want just the one file to download and install.
And the best part is bioware is giving one character for free in a gift pack, pretty neat.
