Im glad that Sony created a console that very accessible even to indie developers. I expect great things in the future from the PS4.

I found it interesting that some of these guys are disappointed in the lack of innovation input-wise. Look, I'm 41, been playing games along time. I don't want to stand around waving at the tv or wagging my controllers in the air or have the smell of gunfire squirt out of my controller as I play a shooter. I want to sit and play a game. That other stuff is fun in small bits but it really takes away from the immersive experience IMO. Look at movies. How much innovation has there been other then 3-D? Why, because then it's not a movie anymore.

I want to play a video game. I don't want to wiggle anything, I don't want to have to get up and move around, I don't want wave my hands in the air. I want to focus on the game not some "ingenious" new way to interact with the screen.

Well, hopefully stories like this get into the hottest news section. You know the positive stories from ACTUAL developers praising the PS4 rather than the countless people on here who claim they know what the system can do. Overall, developers seem pleased with the PS4 and we should great better games for it. Isn't that the point in all this?

I find it funny that now that the PS4 is extremely more developer friendly now, people are still finding other ways to bash the system. Sony has taken all the faults of the PS3 and have seemed to correct them yet people are still hating. Easier to develop for(check)...improved controller with triggers, tighter more precise sticks, and bigger for all the banana handed people(check)...more social features like video sharing and cross game chat(check), a crap ton of memory, namely, GDDR5(8gb)(CHECK!!!)...improve d eyetoy for people who enjoy motion controlled games(check)... and the most important is that most, if not all, their studios are making games for the system.

Oh, and we have this little show coming up called E3 when we get to see the console for all those who had such a problem with it not being shown. More surprises and more details on the services and GAMES!!!! Not only more games but updates on the games already shown with the updated memory and dev kits. If you call yourself a gamer and your not excited by all this then please take all your hate elsewhere. And this is just for Sony!!! Some of you are amazing with all this hate. It will be 8 years since this generation began and all some of you can do is hate and call yourselves GAMERS.

Oh well, you guys can continue to hate and I'll be like a little kid in a candy shop soaking up all the greatness of this E3. Can't wait!!!

As I've said before, with all the (inevitable) complaining thrown at Sony since the reveal, little to none of it has been coming from developers. That makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Well as long as the developers are satisfied I guess that is the main point.Gamers who harp on about the physical system can be ignored until they are ready to show it. Developers already know the power of the PS4 and what it can do and that is what is important to them not what color or shape the console is. I am sure most people were just disappointed that they couldn't say how ugly or how horrible a shape it or how they hate the color.i am certain they were rearing to go and then couldn't use all the quips they had all written down.

I honestly can't believe how Sony's PS3 is creating games like The Last of Us and Beyond Two Souls on only 256mb of VRAM!!! the PS4 is a true successor to the PS3.

The "Future is Now" im going to have to get the vita and the 4 this year ughh..I love how you can play PS4 games on your vita..that's what's going to pull everybody in and make everyone get one..the wii u cant even take the tablet and play in the next room that's gay..lmao they should of put alot of thought before coming out sony's fin crush the comp.

Microsoft must be shitting bullets because they moved their target to the Wii U but now that Sony has shown the PS4 and its actually amazing. What to do? They cant exactly abandon their plans to go after the casual i mean so much of share holders moneys invested in Kinect.

I cant wait for their unveiling. Sony has really done a great job thus far.

I must agree with the sentiment that this generation will have some truly beast games.

Look what developers came up with on XBox and PS3 this gen. Those 2 consoles have very limited hardware compared to what they are going to be using now, so yeah, the future looks incredibly bright.

Im wondering what Naughty Dog is going to do w/ all their PS3 knowledge? Seems kind of wasteful. They mastered the dam thing and now it's irrelevant. Such is life.

PS4 costs $429.99 base and $529.99 deluxe. I heard it from GameStop manager.

This could be true. With the hardware,ram,size of the harddrive and newly designed controller come into play. Sony really can't afford to take such a big hit on the console with there present financial status and stiff competition from MS.

I wouldn't be surprise if N720 costs are similiar. I think core gamers are more than willing to pay the asking price with the specs mention. Then as the costs are reduced the price will eventually comes down for everyone else.

The devs love it so any true gamer should love it to. I dont want to hear anymore bs attacks on the ps4 unless you want devs to just stop making games and in that case you are no longer a gamer. Sit down and bow to lord vader!. ps4 the return of the king!

SONY has done two things,

1 Realized the cell was a mistake no matter how much they fight the idea or their loyal customers

2 Listened to Devs

This equals a huge change in dynamic and puts SONY in position to take the crown once again

I'm really excited to see what developers are going to be doing for the PS4. I'm also really glad that Sony has put such an emphasis on developers and consumers. I can't wait to hear more at E3.

I think it's great that developers embraced the ps4.

I kinda feel bad for devs like Naughty Dog. They must be under a crazy amount of pressure and stress. Many people are probably expecting them to continually blow them away.

If tech demos look this good already then I can't wait to see how games will turn out two years from now.

Sony may have learned their 'hard to develop for' lesson by now, we can always hope.

The PS4 looks pretty sweet and I'll get one, but I just hope that this means that all the PC multiplats that I buy will be more optimized...

Got to say that the comments regarding the PS4 turning out to be a super console is a little premature to say the least and pretty much laughable.
Ive been gaming for 26 years and pretty much seen it all before,for christ sake the public have only seen a Dualshock 4 joypad and possible specs!!
Although the specs do 'sound' good and the demo looking pretty decent we all know the history of companies 'showing' off the potential of the new hardware,as thats all what it is 'potential'.(ps3 Killzone demo,,,)
Ive had playstions,xbox's and pc's in the past and ill prob buy a next generation console but will wait at least 6 months after they are released to judge which one to choose as i have no preference to which company i choose,unlike fanboys of either console or pc's who have no life but argue which is best,,,the best console is the one that suits you, not neccessarily the next person.

The devs react to the PS4 unveiling "The spec sheet is amazing... Oh look, they just up'd the RAM even more by using an eraser then writing in a higher number. The PS4 just got even better!"

8GB of Ram should help deliver 1080p at 30 and maybe 60fps!
8GB of Ram is gonna Help the Gaikai Cloud Service function well
8GB of Ram will lower load times
8GB of Ram should allow for more on screen A.I.
8GB of Ram will allow larger game worlds and Draw Distances
8GB of Ram is NOT gonna help that Low End HD7000 GPU perform any better in regards to Ultra vs. High settings!

The GPU is still the main weakness for the PS4PC and the only specs I see is it's a Southern Island (AMD HD7000) 1.84 Tera Flops of Compute performance.

Now if it was JUST a GPU that would be Awesome but it's a APU so that performance is the CPU + GPU combination BUT it's still great!

GDDR5 Ram is not cheap and neither is the AMD APU! Sure SOny gets a discount for bulk purchasing but to save money that GPU is gonna be some Low End modded HD7000 GPU!

Still a highly capable machine combined with optimization should push the PS4PC to High settings on a PC!

Why? Cause Gamers with GPU lower than a HD7850 can't play BF3 on Ultra at 1080p and maintain 60fps!

PS4PC may use a HD7750 which go for $80 a piece but can't do Ultra Setting at 1080p 60fps

But again the PS4PC will still be great!
