In DmC's case it was never about "entitlement" it was about respecting the core fans and the source material, respect was shown towards none as such the game sold poorly.

DmC was passable entertaining at best which didn't help the matter, since the franchise is niche the reboot was intended to widen the audience so the potential for many newcomers to the rebooted franchise was there, the problem is not enough people actually cared beyond blind vocal support for a small seemingly victimised dev team over the Internet and aren't NT great at playing the "victim".

The sad thing is I could have gotten into a DMC reboot if it was done well too... but no, the case of DmC in particular is less about entitlement and more about not respecting your fanbase.

The DMC5 team went on to make Dragons Dogma 2, the DMC director (3,4,5) left capcom to make an action game at another studio and the rumor is that a DMC remake is next...so i wouldn't hold my breath on DMC6.

Everytime its on sale I think about buying it but never do. I only played the orginal and somr of 3 so I guess that's part of it.
