360 always gets the good stuff first, simple as that!

I just got the 1.1 patch yesterday, so if the next one is similar Japan won't get this one until May. Forgive me if I'm not happy for all of you. :-)

I hate this 1.1 patch, playing against people in Europe sucks. (No offense meant, Europeans. I like good ping.)

With recent server issues, it will be extremely difficult for the millions of XBOX Live users to enjoy this update provided by Infinity Ward. Fortunately, Playstation® Network doesnt give it's consumers the hassle of paying for a service that gives you poor quality. Call Of Duty's patch will be here by the end of this weekend. To enjoy it to it's fullest extent all you will need to do is "jump out" and Play B3yond.

yep, the 360 version is patched and the sniper rifles actually hit where you point them. Also i hear the acog rocks.

Just saw the news and switched to cod4 and there it was. Very small patch though took less than 15 secs to update on the 360. NOw it shows 1.1.76 version on the main screen. Going now to try it out....cya

Glad 360 finally got it with the network fixes too.. the PS3 had the network patch (not game addition/tweaks) since December and it's great.. hope it improves the 360 one to on par with the PS3's connection for games.

Also with the scope accuracy adjustment.. does this also mean that I will not die anymore and see killcams how i was killed by a sniper that his crosshair was NOT on my body?? :)

Just been playing the new patch on 360. I sware they've lowered everyones health or something, its really really frustrating now, feels like im playing hardcore deathmatch when im not. My k/d ratio is slowly being destroyed with every game i play now.

If the PS3 version is still under certification they should've waited for both patches to be finished so they would release them at the same time.

PS3 patch was just submitted to Certification yesterday. A little behind the 360 version because of douchebags who use colors in their names(another problem for IW to fix in a patch leads to a little longer in the oven). We should get the PS3 patch in two weeks maybe. Anyway, four months for a fvcking console patch is way too fvcking long. You know how long it took CoD 4 PC to get a patch? One fvcking month. And they got a free map to go with it.

For instance, the one guy lists Pipeline, Ambush, and Bloc as "added to rotation" for Domination. Well, anyone should know that they've been in the rotation from DAY ONE.

Anyway, I'm off to see if I get an update when I boot up the game. o_O

Nice death cam of airstrike. Agreed with one of the posters above, suddenly i'm dying rather quickly. Maybe out of ten matches only came first in 2 and rest i was somewhere in the middle. Network seems much better now and great to see that host leaving just puts us back in lobby, no need to start search again.

Couple of days for the PS3 patch. Then I can kill you with my sniper rifle easier.

so far I'm loving the patch. It is fun to see different kills now, I love the new quick mute, and I have almost 4 bars in every game. Oh... I love the new first person view of other people. Sadly I can't set it as my default though.

There is a sweet camera that follows RPGs when they kill you. Also there are better spectating options including a First person view through your teamates eyes.

I'm always in the top 3 kills when I play and I play with europe. The only problem I have is with my claymores they don't kill anyone when people walk right infront of them and gernades that have like a 20 foot radius and kill me when I have turn the corner. Other than that I still manage to get 30-50 kills depending on what gun I'm using.

I wish I had an xbox 360 so I could not be able to watch High Def movies, and pay 50 dollars a year for online gaming and not be able to browse the net, either. But then I guess I could also not play games like Haze or Unreal Tournament or use my card reader to view photos and video from my camera/camcorder. But hey at least I would have Halo 2... i mean Halo 3 and Viva Pinata. I really feel left out of the whole RRoD thing as well.

This gen hasn't been the best for games, last gen consoles are still out there and now there's been talk of the PS6 and Xbox Two for a year or so. Many games this gen will be ported to next gen and the cycle will continue. The re-release of the Neo Geo AES+, games on cartridge for £70 ($95), gaming is going back in time. Gaming has gone pricing mad with the high cost of games, consoles and controllers. The men and women at the top are clueless.

It’s always interesting to hear behind-the-scenes stories like this, especially involving veterans like Shuhei Yoshida and leadership figures like Jim Ryan. That said, there are usually multiple sides to decisions at that level. It could be less about not “listening” and more about differences in long-term vision for PlayStation. Yoshida played a huge role in shaping the brand, so whatever the reason, his impact is undeniable.

If true, and I'm inclined to believe it is, it goes to show that Sony lost their way when they became more western/didn't respect the PlayStation origin story. Andrew House and Jack Tretton did great work, but they also didn't try to fundamentally change the PlayStation DNA. Ryan oversaw the death of Japan Studio and a live service direction.

I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.

There's another guy who recently "retired" as CEO of another large gaming company, after doing a dismantling job as lead for well over a decade.

seems legit, the business man, fires the one who has ideas to move the business forward.

Jim Ryan is the reason why we are entering year 6 since the PS5 launch and many of us don't feel like the PS5 has gotten started as yet.

I hope going forward, we will see a return to form.
