I thought Bill Murray was doing the game exclusive for 360. They had the hotdog eating contest mini-game where 360 owners could suck down wieners at a rate quicker than usual, and it gave major achievement points.

This Indiana Jones game can't compete with Meatballs

MailMan6661d ago

It's now on PC as well, and not only does it play and look BETTER,but the Online is FREE and has been working THROUGHOUT the holidays up 'til now.

Jump OUT and Play B3YOND

power of Green 6661d ago (Edited 6661d ago )

WTF?. IS that pun?. Indiana Jones is multi platform.

wAtdaFck6661d ago

I think its cause they're discussing the game on a PS3 website, so its the PS3 version.

Title is very misleading though.

SUP3R6661d ago (Edited 6661d ago )

PS3 lead platform?....

InMyOpinion6661d ago

The title is misleading.

Been a while since we heard anything about it.

power of Green 6661d ago

I got dissagree's for mentioning the same thing. I let it slide(reporting wrong type channel) because the post does mention PS3 only then thought to myself the only reason it was mentioned was to compare it to other PS3 titles.

The info/page was on a PS3 site, makes you wonder if the underground works like useing PSU/PS3informer-like tactics

InMyOpinion6661d ago

True indeed! I've seen forums where fanboys refer to the 360 as "the other console", not wanting to mention it's name lol! Nothing surprises me anymore.

eyeDEVOUR6661d ago

this is my first time contributing...i did not know about a 360 version. the info came from a ps3 site and it was talking about the ps3 game.so their is know fanboy conspiracy ...i was just trying to share some news...

power of Green 6660d ago (Edited 6660d ago )

Post Number Six is an example of the importance of not posting misleading titles.

Don't worry about if thats really the case.

You just missed members saying it was edited wrong in the comment section before it was approved?.

No one mentioned you as being at fault lol.

The comments were actually about PS3 websites misinformation and its real and the sites I mentioned are known for this where did anybody blame you?. lol

games based off of movies tend to be horrible
i'll pass

InMyOpinion6661d ago

The Indiana Jones game that was released for the Xbox was great. Lucasarts rarely disappoints, so I don't think we will be disappointed with this one. It's been in development for quite some time as well.

Gorgon6660d ago

You never played Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade or Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis, did you? Two of the best games ever made.

You see, Indy games are an exception to the crap that is a game based of a movie. Unfortunately, all Indy games after those old point-and-click adventure games where somwhat crappy. Hope Lucas redeems himself with this one.

Indiana Jones game name revealed? (And it’s… not great)

Bethesda’s new Indiana Jones game may have had its title revealed early ahead of the Xbox Developer Direct, and it’s surprisingly underwhelming.

Yeah but it's Indiana Jones, they've always had titles which sound so...adventurous. The name which makes you sound like you're going on a quest yourself.

This just sounds generic

Even if it was called "Indiana Jones and the Great ANCIENT Circle" sounds at least a tiny bit better.

1Victor865d ago (Edited 865d ago )

Could be worse could be
Indiana Jones and lost pills 🤷🏿

Post your worse names bellow

So Indie and crop circles 🤣😂

z2g865d ago (Edited 865d ago )

its not really that funny...

its a name with zero context. it could have an explanation, or its a temporary name. of course its the internet so we must overreact.

FPSRUSSIA865d ago

the name doesn't matter as much as the game play will it be a third person like uncharted or tomb raider ill have to wait and see.

crazyCoconuts865d ago

I'm guessing Wolfenstein would be the template in terms of mechanics and such, given the developers, but that's a guess.

Rockstar864d ago

I hope you're wrong but I guess we'll see...

LoLCryBabyGamers865d ago

If i was a betting man this game will be hot trash.

Concertoine865d ago (Edited 865d ago )

Why? Machine Games have a good rep. Last Wolfenstein sucked but pretty sure that was Arkane.

I predict the game will be decent but unsuccessful - Indiana Jones’ last movie flopped and the gaming demographic doesn’t seem very interested in it either going by sales of other Indy games

EvertonFC865d ago

I'll be happy with either 1st person or 3rd but I'm leaning twds 1st person

facepalm
^not the game title but the article

GamerRN864d ago (Edited 864d ago )

It's an Xbox game, they will do anything to downplay the game and create negativity surrounding it. Attack the title, the graphics, the developer, and just vl chip away at it so people look down on it. It's been the way Sony has been doing things for the last few years. And the fanboys help by perpetuating it.

kenpachi865d ago

They left a word out starts with a "J" ends with "K" and has two other letters in-between.

Jack? Jock? Jick? Jeck? Jeek?

That made me chuckle 😂

I think it's fine. No problem with it.

I want Bethesda to use the best Indiana Jones movie as a blueprint

With Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny hitting theatres soon, I need Bethesda to use the best Indy movie as a foundation for its Xbox Indiana Jones game.

I hope they do their own thing and don’t try and base it on the movie too much with a Ford look alike

Sonic18811066d ago (Edited 1066d ago )

Ain't this game supposed to be in first person? I remember hearing about that. I think it should be in third person

4Sh0w1065d ago

Uhm not that Uncharted franchise is bad or anything, it's actually one my favorite on ps but I kinda want IJ game to be as different from Uncharted as possible because #1I love fresh new ideas & creativity #2 I don't want to hear for 3,4 yrs "it's just a Uncharted copy cat", I already know just by game type it may have alot of similarities...or am I just overthinking this one?

Sonic18811065d ago

I'm not hearing people say Tomb raider being a copycat or vice versa Uncharted being a copycat 🤔 I enjoyed Uncharted and Tomb raider and felt like they were different in their own way

4Sh0w1065d ago

Yeah, that makes sense.

jznrpg1066d ago (Edited 1066d ago )

Story isn’t hard there is a lot to go off of. Combat and traversal is where I’m not confident . Bethesda as a whole has had poor combat.

Indiana Jones mainly uses a whip and a pistol so it will be interesting to see how they make the AI work with that, skills etc.

I’m old so this IP and grew up with the first movies and they have a lot of potential .

I wish it was in a better studios hands really but maybe they deliver but I won’t be sold (or not) until it’s actually shown.

DOMination-1066d ago

Good job Bethesda Game Studios aren't making the game then.

MachineGames are developing it as far as I know. And their combat systems have broadly acknowledged as being rather good?

Seems like a weird thing to worry about. For me, MachineGames are known for making fast paced action shooters. Even then, Wolfenstein had a half decent campaign, even if it wasn't particularly deep. Lets see if their writing can keep up with their gameplay.

Bathyj1066d ago

Well there's where I'm worried. Indiana Jones should not be a shooter. He does very little shooting. I don't know what the gameplay loop is going to be other than exploring and puzzles. Maybe more melee. I don't want it to be just at uncharted clone either.

GhostScholar1065d ago (Edited 1065d ago )

I agree that combat has been Bethesda’s weak point, but the gunplay has improved drastically from the first gameplay reveal to the last xbox showcase. I am pretty sure id or another studio may have came in and helped out with it. That was my biggest takeaway from the showcase. Gun play looks the best it ever has for a Bethesda game.

anast1066d ago

That would be Temple of Doom, but it doesn't matter because Bethesda games haven't been solid in more than 30 years.

GhostScholar1065d ago

I get that you don’t even believe that yourself, but come on man. Oblivion, Skyrim, fallout, riiigghhht those games were horrible

--Onilink--1065d ago

Not to mention that its not even Bethesda making the game, its MachineGames, who made the recent Wolfenstein games which were great.
By his logic, even Dishonored, Prey, Doom, Hi Fi Rush, etc havent been solid either.

Probably not even worth replying to him…

anast1065d ago (Edited 1065d ago )

Morrowind was the last game they made that could be considered a solid game. Last time I checked HiFi Rush had the "same" player count as Gollum

Andersson will act as design director on the title and work in parallel with creative director Axel Torvenius – who was previously art director for the Wolfenstein games and with executive producer Jerk Gustafsson at the helm.

Dope! Gotta be honest tho, i completely forgot this existed 😅

Sonic18811271d ago

Still in the early stages. We won't get a reveal until two more years probably 😂

rlow11271d ago

I wish they would make another Riddick, Butchers Bay was the best.

hotnickles1270d ago

You know what games I want way more than Indiana Jones? The darkness and Riddick.

Snookies121270d ago (Edited 1270d ago )

Haha, completely agree... But, the fact that he is involved in this is a definitely a positive sign! Could actually be a good game!

hotnickles1270d ago

You might be right. Indiana Jones will never do Jackie or Riddick stuff though. The darkness was brutal on the eyes and ears lol.

Leeroyw1270d ago

The Darkness was an underrated gem. Fantastic lore and Mike patton from Faith No More voicing the darkness is up there with the great video game voice overs imo.
