Lode Runner is a game that needs no introduction. Since appearing on the Apple II three decades ago, it has become one of the most widely ported titles in all of gaming, appearing on over two dozen platforms officially, and countless others in the form or remakes and clones. In fact, those itching for some Lode Runner action have a few options on the Play Store already, as long as you aren’t worried about named and licenses.
Ganso Minna De Spelunker is heading over to the Nintendo Switch and PS4 consoles in July over in Japan, and it even has a special edition. No word yet on a western release.
Douglas E. Smith, creator of Lode Runner, has regrettably passed away.
R-Type Dimensions will be available on PS3 on May 20. According to the Playstation Blog, the remastered port is finally coming to the PS3 after having been available on the XBLA for five years.
