GameZebo: Video games are struggling to be regarded as legitimate forms of expression, which sometimes results in some mixed-up scenarios. You might be playing a role-playing game, or you might be reading a novel about love, triumph, and tragedy—sometimes it’s hard to tell. But there’s no doubt what Overkill for iOS is about: Acquiring guns, upgrading guns, and shooting those guns.

AppAdvice: Overkill 2 (Free) by Craneballs Studios LLC is a shooting gallery game that will test your reflexes and your shooting skills.
The story behind Overkill 2 is similar to what we find with most shooting games. It’s about a city that has been occupied by an evil and powerful force. There are lots of enemies to defeat and they’re all heavily armed.

AppSmile: Overkill 2, Craneballs Studios’ sequel to their trigger-happy first-person shooting arcade, is now available from the app store. Featuring plenty of unique and upgradeable weapons, improved graphics, and tense gameplay, Overkill 2 offers an experience that’s every bit as exciting as the original and then some.

Chris Buffa (Modojo): Overkill 2's description reminds us of used car salesmen, except the developers at Craneballs Studios substitute vehicles for weapons. "Do you like guns? The mounted grenade launcher is the right baby for you." It's very over the top, in-your-face marketing, clearly designed to pump up smartphone and tablet users that love pulling triggers, real or otherwise. You know what? It works. It works quite well.
