NowGamer: Industry analyst Michael Pachter believes Nintendo 'got it wrong' and will have to cut the price of the Wii U to keep hardware sales up.

The rejection is non-final (and even when such rejections are labeled as “final”, the process is far from over, given that there can be, at minimum, an appeal to the Federal Circuit).
Good, as they should! A game mechanic like that shouldn't be locked behind a patent, and Nintendo didn't invent it either.
Nintendo wants to keep wasting money on bullshit lawsuits, real smart in this economy. They should put that money aside for other game projects. On the other hand, I don't care if they waste it all either, and they are screwed in the future maybe that will teach them a lesson.

Nintendo completed its share repurchase and set its secondary offering price at 8,347 yen ahead of March 16 delivery.

Nintendo filed a lawsuit in the United States Court of International Trade.
Nintendo of America is suing the United States government over the sweeping tariffs President Donald Trump put in place last year, according to a complaint filed Friday in the U.S. Court of International Trade and obtained by Aftermath.
LOL I read this on gaff, will they refund the money back to the gamers? highly unlikely. Didn't they just raise prices and pass it onto the gamers? Only Nintendo would send out the Ninjas to the US government.
They didn't get it wrong, its just that this is what Nintendo should of made this gen, not for next gen
Theres nothing wrong with the console it's self
I would of loved to see what Nintendo would come up with for next gen if the Wii U was released this gen. Wind Waker HD.....pffft we woud probably have most Zelda titles remade by now.
Your correct root.
Nothing wrong with the actual console. But it will not sell like the wii. Does not have the casual market anymore.
40mill max imo, more then it's older consoles.
I agree in what he means. The Wii U is what the DS is but for the home. That may work on the handheld market but the (very limited) tablet controller is just not interesting to the original Wii/non fanbase market especially when this market has moved onto actual tablets....
The Wii U isn't a bad console and we will see if Nintendo was right in thinking the jump in power this generation is relatively smaller when the PS4 and next xbox releases but I think the controller angle was a miss step and a miss judgement of the market
Patcher calling out others who "Got it wrong"?
Am I alone in seeing irony here?
This is just the beginning. Nintendo had the 3DS wrong too right? haha
I love Nintendo.
