Nerdluster: I’m not well known for my appreciation or fandom when it comes to the Devil May Cry series. Friends know my favorite genres are limited to roleplaying or strategy games where fighting or combo driven mechanics are not core to succeeding. Even with DmC’s focus on combat style and proper timing I started to appreciate the finesse of controlling Dante as he battled groups of skeletonized demons or bulky brutes. Furthermore boss battles were where I found myself really enjoying the fighting of the game, swinging Arbiter at flashing targets or launching Dante from platform to platform really hit a sweet spot for me that is often missing in “shooter” or fantasy RPG games.

Because the anime is on Netflix and we gotta ride that DMC in the news again wave.
It’s been sitting in my backlog for a while now. One of the first games I wanted to try for this current gen due to the long load times of previous gen. I’ll get around to it soon!
Everytime its on sale I think about buying it but never do. I only played the orginal and somr of 3 so I guess that's part of it.
