6 Most Exciting Kickstarter Games

AlienLion writes:

"Tim Schafer’s Kickstarter success was the gaming equivalent of what E Online considers to be year’s top ten biggest stories, right up there with the ‘Colorado Shooting’ and ‘Miley Cyrus Twit Pic’ (I wish this were a bad joke but do click on that link and scroll through).

We all know that his game will be excellent and we can’t wait, but in all honesty, Schafer can take that money and run for Mexico, for all we care, because he has already done something that is worth every contributed penny – he has paved the way for some amazing gaming projects that could possibly never see the light of day otherwise (not like it’s certain that they will now…). I put together a list of six that we, at AlienLion, are most excited about..."

Star Citizen and Shadowrun are my favorites from this list. I back the Shadowrun game which is being developed by the original creators of the SNES and Genesis games. Star Citizen was a pleasant surprise when I heard about it, I think it will really be good.

maximaz4877d ago

I'd put Shadowrun a lot higher but all seem great.

Lol! Diablo 3 = Spongebob

It's funny because it's true.

All those games look dope. I might have to get back into PC gaming.

I'll be getting a new PC just for Star Citizen. I played Freelancer and Robert's other Space-Sims, all were great. I hope this will be no exception..

Sure....since they raised close to a billion they don't even need to make a profit.

blacktiger53d ago

Well You know GTA 6 is like 2 billion dollar. So I don tknow why you trippin

jznrpg53d ago

But it’s not funded by players for over 13 years. And it will release before Star Citizen

blacktiger53d ago

what difference does it make, it's being funded while you are pissed off, money is money. Why do you have emotion?

Pergele52d ago

Did you know you are so stupid? Like it's almost funny

Azurite53d ago

The money is allocated between two games, most of it goes to Squadron 42.

Feels like when at the mall people stop you to give you free products and once you accept they won't stop to follow you until you buy the rest ..... F-DAT !

Noskypeno53d ago

What, you don't want shoe cleaner that costs more than the shoe?

raWfodog53d ago

I do wish they'd release this for PS5 Pro at the very least. I've been craving a good realistic space exploration game since Frontier Developments stopped supporting ongoing updates for Elite Dangerous on consoles. I put a ton of hours into that game and then they just stopped console support when the Odyssey update came out. Pissed me off LOL. I guess I'll get back into No Man's Sky for the time being since there's a bunch of new stuff since I've last played.

andy8553d ago

I didn't even realise you had to pay. Who on earth is paying to play a game that is still in alpha over a decade on 😂

thorstein52d ago (Edited 52d ago )

"A decade?"

This started before No Man's Sky was announced.

2011. It's been a decade and a half.

Shameless plug for NMS: you can build all of Star Citizens' ships in NMS for free. The only difference is that one of these games has launched...a decade ago. And the new update allows you toto capture creatures and battle them in an arena.

It's still a giant money sucker fools and their money are soon parted.
