2013's Most Anticipated: Metro Last Light | OnlySP

OnlySP: Lets hope that the disembowelling of THQ does not negatively impact on the development of Metro: Last Light. Considering the late stage of development, it should survive any negative effects of the bankruptcy and deliver an exceptional, narratively rich gameplay experience for dedicated single players. We will be raggedly holding the defensive line, protecting our loved ones in the Metro, waiting for Artyom to save us in March.

Why Didn't Metro stay a 360 Console Exclusive?Answer Below

It was a PC/360 game because they didn't have the budget for a PS3 release.

Metro 2033 went on to be moderately successful, so they got a bigger budget for the sequel.

"Why Didn't Metro stay a 360 Console Exclusive?"

It was about the best looking game of its time. The devs actually had the balls to push the PC platform.

Who cares if it didnt make it to another dinosaur platform.

@DivineAssault

Remember the comments from the Dev, they said the Wii U has a weak CPU, might be one of the reasons.

RuperttheBear4872d ago (Edited 4872d ago )

Well the ps3 didn't get the last one, so maybe the Wii U will get the next one. Doesn't matter to me, I'll be playing it on pc anyway.

Metro 2033 was amazing. Can't wait to see how this turns out. Will be getting day 1.

I'm not a PC gamer (got a decent rig I could use, brother...), but I am curious as to how this will push PC's. At least in the Physics department, I could imagine this very much being a struggle on most people PC's on high settings. Looking forward to the videos as usual (one can dream, right?).

On the plus side, PS3 gets this game also, and I wonder if the CPU heavy game will show any distinct advantages on Sony's platform. Waiting for the comparisons, as for a game with amazing atmosphere, I'd like to make the right choice on the possible platforms (PS3, 360. Unfortunatley PC aint an option as my brother will be playing Starcraft 2 and such).

Very happy to support a great dev, and hope the series future (fingers crossed) falls in the right publishers hand, given the recent THQ auction. (2K seems great)

Metro 2033 was a demanding game when it was released, and still is on the highest settings. So I should imagine the sequel will be demanding as well.

Metro Video Game Series: A Comprehensive History

The Metro video game series started with a humble b-list title, before building a strong fanbase and becoming a pioneer in the industry.

Never got into Exodus, but 2033 was excellent.

kevco33840d ago

Yeah, Exodus just didn't grab me either, sadly.

I absolutely loved 2033 and Last Light, however. Played them both on 360 and then again with the remasters!

anast839d ago

I just started it and it is already miles better than the first 2 which are dated.
