May is less than three months away, not four.

Well at least it's launching after GTA4 and before MGS4 and NG2. So it might just have a chance. Prime time for launch would have been next month or in April before GTA4 though. If it's ok I'll get it anyway the extra development time should have been kind to them, 4 player coop ftw.

already go it pre ordered for quite a long time now, the hype is kinda gone but i think its still going to be a great game

Funny, I actually forgot all about haze. It reminds me of lair with all the constant delays. I'd be surprised if it ended up being anything more than mediocre.

Mature rating, AWESOME. I hate those games that censor blood and gore to get T (cough Blacksite cough Call of Duty 2 cough Heavenly Sword...)

Nice, I'm glad it's being released closer to summer then closer to fall. Of course with my backlog of games I might have time to play it in till the fall.

in may and MSG4 in June I will be getting it for sure. This gives Ubi enough time to help hype the game up again and if it drops when no one else is, even better. I have faith in the dev's and I don't blame them for Ubi pushing it back. I for one can't wait to play it and I think the design and concept of the game with shine through. It shall be judged.

honestly I don't care anymore. I was hyped, but now its almost dead to me. I understand delays when its metal gear or final fantasy when its pushing the system or trying something new, but this is just a FPS. Not a good sign its getting delayed so much.

Im still gonna buy it thou. 2 months delay i can handle, but this is sick... I hope they have spent the time well..

Edit: it will be refreashing with a coop game and 4player splitscreen online, that has been missing.

the funny thing is. while my ignorant army desperately scrambles around a goldeneye port for XBLA, something that MS apparently is incapable of getting the rights to. the guys that actually made the original Goldeneye are busy creating what could end up being one of the better games of the year. Its just for another system. too bad for my owners.

Between two of the biggest title this year, ppl won't even have the time to play it let alone buying it.

They better keep the new date! This game has been delayed WAY too much. It's my most anticipated of 2008 and I'm really hoping it will deliver.

If this game came out at its scheduled release time, everyone would have been up in arms about what could of been, and potential, but it was rushed and is a piece of crap.

They delay the game to make it right, and everyone complains that they should release it already and "I don't even care anymore" comments start flying around.

Either way, people are bashing them. It is one way or the other!
Relax already! Judge the game when it gets here. It seems solid enough, and if the gameplay lives up to what we've all seen, it should be good.

atleast it's dated, so people don't wine that ps3 doesn't have any games in mid 2008. it's just builds up ps3 library none the less with decent shooters or good shooters, nobody really knows.

maybe ill wait awhile though.

as long as this game comes out in May im deffinatly getting it, but seriously ubisoft, delaying a game for over eight months is ridiculous, if this game isnt amazing, i'll personally show up and start an angry mob to take down ubisoft (well, most likely i'll send an angry letter which wont be replied to for years lol)

May is a good release date for this. Any later it wouldn't stand a chance with MGS4 and other titles coming up around that time period.

@ Izkyd1331 yes it does have co-op. It's actually called hot swap co-op because you can jump into/out of an already in progress game with your friends.
Should also mention it's 4player online co-op.

when Bungie, Bioware, or Valve announces their next project, people cream their pants, hoot and cheer and what have you. why is that? because those companies have a track record for delivering a quality gaming experience every time.

*HOWEVER, when Free Radical announces *THEIR next project (in this instance, Haze), they are met with scorn and derision.

i mean, it's not like Free Radical made Goldeneye on the N64, Perfect Dark on the N64, the Timesplitters series, and Second Sight, which has one of the best stories of the last generation of games.

hell, Goldeneye was the game that *PROVED a console FPS with multiplayer no less, could work. 10 years ago.

but no, just dismiss Haze as another generic FPS.

considering Free Radicals track record, i'm not expecting Haze to revolutionize the FPS genre, but i'm expecting it to be a fun game (like Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and Timesplitters), and have an excellent story (like Second Sight).

give the guys at Free Radical a break. not every game has to be 100% innovative and revolutionary to be a good time. you gamers are too god damned spoiled and jaded. expecting gold with every single game release. not everybody can be a Square-Enix, or Kojima, or Team Ico, or Shigeru Miyamoto. i imagine most of you guys gaming libraries are very, *VERY small, if all you do is wait for the AAAAAAA quality titles to release. they are very few and far between.

really want this game, I'm hoping it's all it could be with its potential. As for me, I don't think it looks average, but then again I'm a huge shooter fan and have a soft spot for them. But I hate to say it, this is no second rate developer. It seems people are overly harsh on shooters because they're common right now. I understand where people are coming from with the "dime a dozen" comments, but if the industry sees 30 shooters released in a year that doesn't mean that the quantity undermines any of the quality. It's possible to have a plethora of genuinely fun shooters and several duds...

Hmm, if they don’t delay it again then this might be the best date for them, there will be no conflict with other Ubisoft games, it will be released after GTA 4 and before MGS4 and I don’t think it can compete with Resistance 2, Killzone 2 or even Gears 2 (which can take sales from the players who own both consoles), so May sounds right for them.

Lair has the best soundtrack of a major game flop that I can remember. I still listen to it from time to time on Youtube.

during the PS3 era how many bad games, and studios were shuttered during that era. you get nothing but rose-colored/ perfect hindsight about that now...

Haze broke me. I was such a massive fan of Timesplitters that I didn't believe for one second they could make such a generic, sub-par game. It even had a couple of neat ideas, but nothing that could save it from utter failure.

I learnt a harsh lesson from that game.
