For me, and many many others, a great reason to never-ever-ever buy a Capcom game at release for full-price.

Sorry, but the new model looks like a douche. That's the only word that comes to mind when I see his face, hair, and clothes. Not to mention his dialogue.

You'd think that once...just ONCE...Capcom would try to harbor some goodwill towards us and offer costumes for one of their games for free.

Resident Evil 6

And now DmC. Just once I'd like to see them treat us like adults instead of like children. You know how many costumes you unlock for beating Okami and getting all of the collectibles? 10. You unlocked 10 costumes in Okami.

Other than Mega Man 10 (and Okami HD), I haven't bought a Capcom game in 5 years. I don't see that changing any time soon.

Who even buys costumes for a single player game? Multiplayer, sure, you want to look flashy in front of others. But single player is about unlocking costumes and skins, not buying them.

Actually they stated just prior to "Dragons Dogma"s release that they where changing their DLC, but confessed that "Dragons Dogma" would, due to it already having been completed by the time of the decision, would include on-disc DLC. As for Resident Evil 6, it did have on-disc DLC, however, it was all released for free.

I think that what Capcom are doing (utilising the controversy regarding Dante's appearance to trick people into purchasing Skins that where probably designed 6 months ago and could easily have been included as an Unlockable item), but there's no need to make up instances regarding their previous titles.

And it's funny because they said during a conference before game was released that "Dante wouldn't fit into what we planned for DmC, thus we made a rebooted character".

And here they have DINO pose as Dante and Nero???

Just because they have a bonus costume/character skin doesn't mean they still don't think that. Using that logic you may as well assume that all developers who have an unlockable big head mode think that that fits their game too. Fuck no. It's just a bonus outfit if you want it.

I swear to god some of you DMC fans will just look for any reason to complain about stuff. NT gives you the option of a classic skin, if you want it (no one's forcing any of you to buy it), and you people still complain.

Making this free on day one would've been the thing to do. I'm not really on the side of die hard fans saying the new Dante is shit, but this game has been getting so much shit over this that it would've been a win-win situation. Instead people will be even more pissed.

Capcom thinks that putting this and the White hair on the game appeases the fans... Nope, this is not the Devil May Cry game fans wanted.

And putting a different skin and white hair wasn't the problem Capcom and NT you dingbats!!! Framerate issues with Unreal Engine (If you have a ps3 you know the problems with frames dropping) Gameplay mechanics, No lock-on, Changing the story from half demon & human into Half Demon and Half Angel? Nephilim are Half Angel and Human not the a mix of the two positives and negatives, and Etc Etc.

The list goes on and on that the problem DOES NOT FOCUS ON HAIR AND COSTUME AKA DESIGN OF DANTE!!!

And no I don't know what your talking about because my ps3 framerate never droped the hole game.

I was the same as u when I first heard about the no lock-on but it works. I haven't had a problem with it yet. Actually I forget it was ever a option in previous games.

It's called reboot so.. why is it hard to understand the story would change alot. what did u expect there going to keep the same exact thing as original.

Maybe I have a more opened mind knowing this game would be different so I can enjoy it. If your going to nitpick every detail from last game then yeah your defenitly not going to like it. Because of that you won't enjoy it ever.

And Gameplay mechanics are great to me. Maybe doesn't have the SSS rank skill like it does in the originals but the combat is still pretty deep and u feel like a badass when u do it. Just like the originals did.

About the frame rate drops...can I ask you a queestion to you both @thaking and @N4GDg?
Do you have upgraded the HDD of your PS3s?
Because changing it with a faster one helps a lot.
I don't have frame rate issues with DmC and never had terrible issues with Skyrim (yes the framerate dropped but never to unplayability levels even after 120 hours pre-patch)

I don't understand who this is for. The new fans of DMC clearly don't care about the old games and the old fans don't want this game.

Instead of skins, they should sell fighting styles from the last 2 DMCs and maybe the ability to lock on. I'd buy that for a dollar...

So, they take a blatant jab at original Devil May Cry fans with that stupid scene in DMC and I quote, "Not in a million years", and now Ninja Theory and Capcom are releasing DLC costumes that encompass that which this Dante doesn't like. I think I speak for most gamers when I say that we are sick of paying more money for additional DLC that could easily be in game already as unlockables. Just typical Capcom.

Glad I only rented this just to see if it truly deserved either the high or low scores fans and critics are giving out. I, on the other hand, will have my own review to do here.

Well i dont know when you started gaming but this kind of stuff used to be unlocked if you achieved something in a game and it was free. This gen you have to pay for it. Obviously many of us arent happy about that as we dont like to bend over.

Been gaming since the days of the NES. I personally just dont feel like its that big of an issue. However there are instances were I would agree for example paying for characters in a fighting game, or extra weapons ect. But in the case of alternate costumes which dont have any bearing on the endgame experience IMO its just not that big a deal.

True some companies this generation have abused DLC (looking at you capcom), but I dont think that DLC is always a bad thing. Plus there already is an alt costume in this game these are just extra.

Look at EVERY other medium out there and you'll see "reboots" or alternate takes on most characters. Spider-man, Batman, Captain America, Iron Man, and almost every other comic character has had multiple versions of the world and characters.

Some as ridiculous as a zombie invasion with zombie variations of every super hero.

At least thank Ninja Theory for keeping Devil May Cry's general idea intact.

pc version will have tons of free costume mods and runs at 60-200 frames per second

plus its real 1080p-1600p hd with no jaggies and dx11 for $10 less at launch,

think i'll go with that one when its $20 on steam in a month, suck it capcom

Capcom is taking advantage of all the fans of the classic DMC games. This is just sickening and this costume should have been unlocked for free by beating the game.
