EG:The first Face-Off of 2013 is based on a title that has divided its fanbase since its initial reveal at the 2010 Tokyo Game Show; Capcom's reboot of the Devil May Cry series, DmC, features a dramatic change in Dante's appearance, with the character ditching his iconic flash of white hair in favour of a darker emo-styled look, while taking on an even more blasé attitude. Perhaps more controversial than the rebooted storyline is the fact that Capcom enlists UK developer Ninja Theory for the new game, choosing a 30 frames-per-second update over the smooth 60FPS presentation of past titles. Series die-hards are concerned that the shift in developer combined with the decimated frame-rate will conspire to dilute the fast-paced action the series is known for in favour of something more palatable to mainstream tastes. Thankfully, this isn't the case, with Ninja Theory blending enjoyable melee and gun-based combat with an entertaining narrative and some stunning graphics.

Devil May Cry 5 surpasses 10 million sales as Netflix animated series drives major surge in franchise popularity.

It's been six years since Capcom dropped Devil May Cry 5, but it's still more than worth replaying in 2025 thanks to its rich gameplay.
Because the anime is on Netflix and we gotta ride that DMC in the news again wave.
It’s been sitting in my backlog for a while now. One of the first games I wanted to try for this current gen due to the long load times of previous gen. I’ll get around to it soon!
Everytime its on sale I think about buying it but never do. I only played the orginal and somr of 3 so I guess that's part of it.

Steam's Summer Sale looks primed for Steam Deck players - with a huge collection of titles on offer for the handheld.
Yawn why do people show developers up, and we all know what ps3 can.do so leave it.
I can't wait for MGR:R, it will be more of a Devil May Cry game than DMC.
It's an Unreal Engine game so of course the 360 version was going to have a better performance overall. Everyone saw this one coming when they announced this game was going to use that engine specifically.
Still not a fan of the lowered framerate from 60fps to 30fps. This gen many gamers are looking for 60fps but when a game like this is 30fps it is okay now?
so.
Higher quality graphics on the PS3 version.
Better performance for the 360 version.
I knew eurogamer would give it the 360.
Not quite sure why NT are struggling with cut scenes, weird.
But lbh, Ninja Theory struggled with cell with everyone of it's games. Looks more to me, not taxing graphics wise(insert any 30fps title here) but processor wise. They still haven't got the hang of it.
As for the game i'd prefer to see, Heavenly sword 2. I'm hoping the game is not given to NT.
