I played the PS3 demo.. the framerates weren't stable..

I just wish I can use my PS3 controller when I try the PC version.. I've been scared of DS3Tool messing up my USB ports on my main system :(

Any cheap but has decent enough quality controller alternatives anyone?

So it seems like I should rend this game whenever I get a day off or so. Right before I went to work a lot of places seem to be favoring this game left and right; so I must try it out being that I do like dmc.

Used to be you say something positive about the game and you'd get negged to oblivion. What a difference an onslaught of superlative reviews makes, huh?

Capcom is spending lot of cash in reviews lately. Looks like Capcom learned from the RE6 reviews fiasco.

I just don't know if I can justify playing $64.99 for a 3 1/2 game. :/ Maybe when it hits a $30 sale or something.

Said it when it was first announced (check my comments, i was flogged by the DmC hate crew) that Ninja Theory dont make bad games, they are epic storytellers.

Hopefully its finally the studios coming out party and they get the credit they deserved since Heavenly Sword and Enslaved.

I'm glad people are going to like this game. Too bad I'll never see a real DMC again though. I was hoping this game would fail and they'd go back to trying to get the original formula right.

Seems people are only aloud to hate DMC here. If you like it you get removed for trolling. To be fair the DMC hate stared when it went multiplatform.

This game is getting great reviews. This just may be the first DMC I play.

I think i will download the demo and give this game a shot.

The old Dante will still be my favorite though for some reason i dont like the new one but meh the game might be fun.

Not going to read the article because the opening line here says it all - "for a newcomer." The review was written for little punks who never played DMC 1 who will not be disappointed by how lousy and emo the DMC series has become.

By all means, enjoy your corporate garbage if you like taking it up the butt. I'd at least hold off because this one will be price dropping faster than that emo fags pants do in the trailer.

I just came to rub salt on the wound of the haters who judged this before they even saw gameplay. Ninja Theory is one of the best devs out there. Heavenly Sword and Enslaved rocked and this seems to carry on with that trend. Glad they finally showed everyone wrong and hopefully get the props they deserve. I never doubted them for a minute despite the crazy crap people were spewing.

I've been playing since Friday and I'm having a blast with it. Hats off to Ninja Theory from me, they've done a good job on this, and that's coming from a DMC fan.

Combat isn't as deep or fast, but still a lot of fun and the graphical style is outstanding. I even quite like the new Dante, mostly because of the voice actor who sells the character pretty well.

Swearing needs to be toned down a bit. Sometimes it's fine, other times it's like a kid trying to shock his parents without understanding the context.

Also, some rough dialog in there.

For their first DmC game, I'm pretty happy. Since we'll doubtless be getting a sequel at somepoint, hopefully they sit down and start playing with the combat. I'd love to see styles brought into it again.

You know, having not liked the reboot from the beginning the great reviews DmC is getting are pretty shocking IMO.

Im not at all above believing I can be wrong, so is this still just a matter of preference and opinion or is the game actually great with solid gameplay, combat mechanics and does it do justice to the franchise roots?

Im just curious to hear what people who've played the full game have to say about their experience.

It seems i'm the only one who doesn't like this game then. Maybe i liked too much the good old Dante & Nero and the gameplay itself. I had hopes in this one too, but after trying the demo i changed my mind. Oh well, i'm going to pass on this =P

I don't see any negatives written in the review so im guessing its not one to be taken seriously.

My copy is in the mail and I cannot wait to play it! Although I do have to say this. Ninja Theory make good enough games, their ideas are great, and the way they handle graphics is awesome. But they need to keep their mouth shut about the whole sales crap. Their best selling game to this day is still Heavenly Sword. A PS3 exclusive that sold through phenomenally in 2007 when the user base of the PS3 was laughable. Then they have the nerve to complain about it after great sales and good reviews. Just be humble and accept that one day, if you shut your mouth and keep putting up good games, youll become a premier developer.

Taken straight from the IGN review. Note who the author is, it's Clements who was on the PlayStation team at IGN for years until he was recently assigned to the PC team.

I've listened to Podcast Beyond for over 4 years and he's one of the biggest Sony fans at IGN.

I have been following his work for years, beginning when he started work at Gamespot. Brad is straight forward and tells it like it is, for instance is was spot on with his recent RE6 review. Although, 5/5 seems high, you have to remember that Giant Bomb does not award 1/2 stars and Brad felt it was better than a 4/5.

I agree with many of his points, especially that the games atmosphere, aesthics, and gameplay are great and feel fresh and this reboot has given life to a dying franchise. The last great DMC game was 3 and that was 8 or 9 years ago (almost a generation) and DMC 2 & 4 were terrible. This is a nice surprise and haters should give it an honest shot and if you are a true fan of this franchise, then you should realize this game is great.

How in the world does an action game with NO LOCK ON get a 9 or 10 out of 10? I don't even care about anything else as much as how much that DESTROYS the ability to fight things appropriately. All for a "quick action weapon switch" that could've been implemented on the control pad.

This isn't even okay for a new IP title to do. There's systems designed for these types of games for a reason; it's called efficiency and fluidity. If there was an introduction to a new system that maybe had worked better, I'd have been okay with that too. There's nothing in place to help with the issue of no targeting. It doesn't exist. Why is this okay to so many people??

It's okay, I'm sad to see that it got such a positive score but what are you going to do? Nothing, there's nothing you can do. I've played it for 2 hours now...despised every minute of it.

So I have a right to hate this game...even more so than before.

Everything is okay though, real Devil May Cry fans know what a real Devil May Cry is...this isn't it.

I was very critical of this game when I heard of the reinvention of Dante. However, with all of these reviews giving it stellar marks, I decided to give it a spin. Bought my copy at Best Buy today and got Resident Evil 6 for only $10 extra! You can't beat that.

The user reviews on Metacritic are both hilarious and infuriating. Anyone who still wants to pretend like this game sucks just because they dislike the new Dante is a complete asshole. No, none of these critics were bribed: it's just a good fucking game. Because Ninja Theory makes quality products.

LOL CAPCOM payed every game reviewer in the world for higher rating so it means that developing and marketing costs of the new DMC is way more lower then high reviewing paying cost.. lolx...

After the recent poor game releases by Capcom, capcom definitely dont have the money to pay every f...ing reviewer in the world for DMC rating, if it was Activision then activision has the money to do soo :D

... Accept it Fanboys, DMC is a good game and ninja Theory did a great job in doing so, stop hating or and stop telling others not to play this..

Personally i have finished this game and it was amazing.. Loved the story, loved the characters and loved the graphics.. Ninja theory is definitely overcoming its weakness improving game by game Heavenly Sword, Enslaved and now DMC... Well Done.
