John Bedford (Modojo): One of the nice things about mobile gaming is that it gives developers an easier platform to evolve and experiment with some of the games we fondly remember, without publishers fretting over retail reaction. Table Top Racing is a case in point, a game that pays more than a few homages to Micro Machines, albeit with a third-person take on the racing action instead of a top-down approach.
Table Top Racing for mobile platforms and Table Top Racing: World Tour (which is now available PS4 Xbox One and Steam) have been downloaded more than 16.5 Million times.
I don't have the exact numbers, but I hardly doubt that it was 16.5 million times :P
I think Let it Die getting millions of dowloads is more believable than this.
Without a doubt, one of our highlights from EGX Rezzed 2016 was Table Top Racing. It was almost a classic love tale…”As soon as we locked eyes… (enter mushy crap here…)” – We think you get the picture. It just reminded us of a time where gaming was much less complicated and way more colourful, however at the time the game was only due to be released on the PS4… That’s not a bad thing. It just mean’t that being my primary console of choice is Xbox One, we wouldn’t get to play this any time soon as the majority of my games and friends reside in the Microsoft ecosystem – so when we got word this was getting a release on Xbox One, we immediately put our hands up and said “Yes, Please!”.
Still looking unlikely on Wii U however.
