"Most of what we’ve heard about this reboot of Devil May Cry is people moaning about Dante’s hair not being white. In fact, there’s even a little joke about his new barnet during the first level of the game but fear not, finish the game and you’ll be able to play through the levels again with a new shade of short haircut that might appease you."

Devil May Cry 5 surpasses 10 million sales as Netflix animated series drives major surge in franchise popularity.

It's been six years since Capcom dropped Devil May Cry 5, but it's still more than worth replaying in 2025 thanks to its rich gameplay.
Because the anime is on Netflix and we gotta ride that DMC in the news again wave.
It’s been sitting in my backlog for a while now. One of the first games I wanted to try for this current gen due to the long load times of previous gen. I’ll get around to it soon!
Everytime its on sale I think about buying it but never do. I only played the orginal and somr of 3 so I guess that's part of it.

Steam's Summer Sale looks primed for Steam Deck players - with a huge collection of titles on offer for the handheld.

Invalidated review based on that alone.
I haven't really took much interest in this as I've never been a huge fan of the series, but having watched this video due to all the bitching and whining I've been reading today I think it looks pretty bloody good. Might have to buy it now.
Damn i might have to buy this too lol
I guess I was right. It was gonna turn out better than RE6 despite the sales.
I kinda expected these reviews cause the media loved Enslaved even though the people did not. Also i know i may get disagrees for this but i feel that the industry is getting too soft. Meaning that accessibility is more important now than evolving the gameplay. Lower standards are more the norm for games which i do not believe is the right direction we should be headed in games.
The game may be good it may not be but my biggest fear with this game was the dialogue & story. Adam Sessler hit it on the head saying that the games dialogue is juvenile at best. The past Devil May Cry games had cheesy dialogue cause it was not trying to be serious, while from everything that i have heard from DmC is that it is trying too hard to be serious resulting in horrible writing.
It's just like with George Lucas trying to be serious with the Star Wars prequels but ending up making a mockery of them with bad writing.
