An interview with some of the Tequila Works directors where they speak about the development process and the how they worked with the publisher, Microsoft.

Tequila Works has filed for insolvency. Management says it is "doing everything we can to provide support and guidance to our teams".
That is very sad to hear.. I loved Rime on Switch and played Deadlight and Gylt on Steamdeck which were both solid and enjoyable games..
Also heard good news about Song of Nunu.
I was hoping they could revive the Egypt based game they announced years ago before being acquired by Stadia but was cancelled.
I wish the developers find a home somewhere else as the talent is there

"With deep regret, we must inform of the decision to cancel an unannounced game. This tough decision means we will be restructuring the studio to concentrate on the development of only one game. These changes will have an impact to a small number of roles at the studio.
This is an incredibly difficult time, and our focus is to provide the support and guidance to those affected."

Rime and The Sexy Brutale developer Tequila Works has announced an unspecified number of layoffs, plus the cancellation of an unannounced project.
More layoffs which is unfortunate, these developers released a fun and short "PG-13 horror" game called GYLT. It launched as a Google Stadia exclusive, and remained so for 3 years until Stadia shut download.
Its now been ported to all modern platforms, look into it if you want a game that feels similar to the show Stranger Things.
