AppSpy: We've mentioned before about the surprising resurgence of the 2D platformer on the ios, er... platform. Often these games will use an art style reminiscent of this genre's heyday, and Mutant Mudds certainly does its best to visually place itself alongside the early 90s PC shareware classics like Secret Agent, and Duke Nukem.
Limited Run Games has announced Mutant Mudds and Yooka-Laylee tabletop games, both of which are available for pre-order until early September 2021.

Development studio Renegade Kid is shutting down after its two co-founders have decided to go their separate ways. They will both continue to develop games.
Very sad news, because they made some great games. I do have to wonder though if the closing has anything to do with them not making many games for systems other than Nintendo ones. Because sadly not many people have been buying games on Nintendo one recently.
