So when we sat down to check out Cyclomite yesterday -- the first game from the company's new "Shorts" division -- we were surprised to find a lack of humor.
As it turns out, there's a very good reason for the shift. Because Cyclomite is coming out on GarageGames' InstantAction web browser platform, the developers decided to keep each session short to allow people to hop in and out for a few minutes at a time, rather than go over the top with the cut-scenes and crazy scenarios that make up much of the humor in Wideload's other games".

Currently in open beta, InstantAction is a platform designed by Garage Games that is said to deliver "console quality" videogaming experiences streamed through a standard web browser. For anyone either chained to a desk or if you find yourself in front of a web browser more than your television, InstantAction sounds like a Godsend.
So Destructoid decided to sign up and take InstantAction's available games for a quick spin. While Destructoid don't see it replacing their Xbox 360 any times soon, Garage Games is already delivering some impressive gaming experiences inside a tiny Internet browser.

New website looks to change everything you think you know about online browser based gaming. Ripten's Rob Way sits down with Josh Williams of GarageGames, and gets a first look at InstantAction.com.
