I do agree that the RRP needs addressing, but the trick is don't walk into a highstreet store and grab one from the shelf, as you will pay vastly more than if you'd taken 5 minutes to shop around online.

The problem with the Vita is the selection of games. Alot of the games are spin offs, marketed by the vita zombie army as amazing new ip's.

The Vita doesn't need to change it's image, it just needs to slash it's price. The demand isn't there at that price point, therefore it's overpriced. Case closed.

Xbox brand is a perception in america. Just like people tend to think cod is best shooter.

Actually RROD and everyone who has one has one . Its not like Xbox Live accounts have started growing. There are still only about 45million xbox live users world wide.

@black911, it's important to note that the 45 million xbox live users refers to gold memberships, and ignores silver, so that doesn't mean theres less than 45M consoles active.

However, it isn't a stretch to say that there are a lot more active PS3's compared to X360's, considering the massive difference in failure rate and the tiny difference in sales.

The 360 really is losing it's lead over PS3. I think Sony have done a fantastic job. Give it a year or two and there will be a more significant margin with PS3 coming out on top.

Take this into account the PS2 was released a year before the Xbox. The PS2 had a crazy leed over the Xbox and nothing could changed that, Forcing Microsoft to rush out a new console (RROD proves that).

Now, we look at the 360 and PS3. The 360 came out a year before the PS3 and now 6-7 years later, only has a 2 million plus lead over the PS3. The 360 started out with a 10 million plus leed over the PS3, at the time of the PS3's launch. Also, take this into account the PS3 has been selling better than the 360 every year including this one.

The 360 did take up some great amount of market share from the Ps3, but that doesn't mean the PS3 isn't winning the war. The war isn't over until both consoles stop selling. And we all know Sony will support the PS3 or at least keep making them for a good amount of time after they release their next console.

And it will be funny, when the PS3 does take the leed over the 360, because 360 fan-boys will say the generation is over, so it doesn't matter. While that won't be the case.

With all this said and done, all three consoles have done well this generation. And if you own all three, you have may have enjoyed everything they have to offer.

I agree. no matter what people say Sony were the biggest losers this generation, they lost a lot of market share this generation (btw it took the PS2 about +10 years to reach 150 million).

but on the flipside, 360 did well more because of Sony's failings, and not due to Microsft's own genius.

I think it's extremely laughable that 70 million sales can be a success for one company, but is a complete and utter failure for another.

So let me get this straight, the only way or shall I say the only scenario for Sony to be considered a success this gen is for them to maintain the market share and sales they had from last gen? In other words the 360 and Wii had to sell 20 million a piece again while the PS3 had to sell 150 mil? Does that sound realistic to you guys?

Sony's gaming related hardware sales better in Europe
Microsoft's gaming related hardware sales better in North America.
And, Nintendo's hardware sales better in Japan.

Depends, if the new xbox is all digital THIS FOOL might jump ship to the Ps4. And im sure a lot of 360 fanboys might do the same since we live in a day of age that many ISP providers strike us with BS data restrictions and whatnot.Besides i dont know about you guys but Physical game copies makes you feel all nice and toasty when you have that said game in your hands.

What about the steambox?...people are underestimating it. I think it may just take a big chunk of the market away from the big 3.
