
According to Jason Avent, the game director at BlackRock Studios for Disney Interactive's Pure, the development house has wanted to do an extreme arcade-racing title since it was founded. The studio, formerly known as Climax Racing, has established a solid background as a racing-game creator after making titles in the MotoGP and ATV Offroad Fury franchises. But the opportunity finally came along for the group to work on its dream project, and from TeamXbox's detailed look at the work-in-progress during the Game Developers Conference yesterday, it seems like it'll be a worthy entry into the genre. Avent claimed that the title is 14 months into development, but that it's "feature complete," with the remaining five months of work to be devoted to testing and polishing.
