"Today, a new page appeared on the Square Enix Members website related to Bravely Default Flying Fairy. Two things were announced on this page: a sequel to Bravely Default is in the works, and the development team have presented a survey for fans to answer questions and help make the sequel an even better experience."

Jason Dietz: "We reveal the past year's best and worst video game publishers (based on their 2025 releases) in the 16th edition of our annual Game Publisher Rankings."
But... but... the garbage-mongers always tell us that Square Enix is in trouble! 😂

Square Enix announced its financial results for the first nine months of the fiscal year, related to the period between April and December 2025.

3D Investment Partners, a major shareholder of Square Enix, issued a 112-page presentation criticizing the company's 'sluggish' revenue and profit margins.
Waaah waaah our profits aren't big enough! I mean, they're still growing and all, but we want it faster and NOW! Waaaah!
Meanwhile, no sign of this game outside Japan... -_- Nice Enix, nice...
Anyone I have heard taking about this game only has great things to say and it's great it is getting a sequel. However, this makes the fact that we don't have it in US/Europe even more depressing. Even if they could release it on the E-shop, I just want to experience this game!
Seriously many publishers have no idea what the fans want.
Still no mention of a release outside of Japan? This is why region locking games is terrible.
If it's popular enough for a sequel hopefully it's popular enough to release overseas.
