Gi - After Capcom’s Clover Studios re-spawned as the completely independent; Platinum Games in 2006, the label has grown to an incredible extent creating largely original content for all systems and audience demographics through a number of high profile publishers. During this same time Capcom has consistently relied upon sequels to bolster sales, although it has enjoyed success with a limited number of new IP’s including Monster Hunter, Lost Planet and Dead Rising (which have all been heavily serialized since).

All 21 Classic Games are playable for a limited time 🎮

Jason Dietz: "We reveal the past year's best and worst video game publishers (based on their 2025 releases) in the 16th edition of our annual Game Publisher Rankings."
But... but... the garbage-mongers always tell us that Square Enix is in trouble! 😂

Capcom has clarified its current stance on generative AI in its videogames. The major Japanese publisher and developer behind popular series like Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Monster Hunter has revealed that while it doesn't use gen-AI assets in their games, it is exploring ways to use generative AI to streamline the game development process.
Using Artificial Intelligence (more like Realistic Stupidity) art assets in your games is a great way to get people to boycott your product. We don't need that ugly, unsophisticated, generic, fake art in our games, good on CAPCOM for not using that garbage.
Naw you can't fool us, You work with Nvidia, that's a fact! And here you wanted to advertise but now look stupid!
I wouldn't say that... Sure platinum has some good games, but they're not on some completely different tier.
For instance, Mad World had a great idea / story, but the story was trash and it was incredibly repetitive. The same is true for Anarchy Reigns, which has perhaps one of the worst stories and campaigns I've ever played. (You have to play though 1 side, then the other and THEN you finish off your first side. To earn the ending of the other side, you have to beat the campaign another 2 times and start with the side you didn't start with) Online is decent, but it was dead, plus it's very cut / dry after a few hours.
Don't get me wrong, I love Platinum Games, but they need to do more than Style.
On a different note, did anyone else like that Capcoms problems were based off their business choices, over legitimate reasons?
