Amazing news! Digital Foundry has parted ways with IGN and bought their shareholding in the business. What this means is that from now on, all aspects of DF are decided upon by DF.

Would love to see more DF Retros from John now that they can come up with their own ideas.
I just watched a DF video from John featuring the new Gradius collection. Gradius is one my favorite NES games ! And now at QuakeCon 2025 they just released a remastered Heretic and Hexxen bundle by Nightdive and ID Software. So DF featuring John released a video today talking about the Hexxen and Heretic bundle . Good times.

Doesn't make any sense what you are saying. They are experts in their field in my opinion, we don't have to share it. That's ok.
But something doesn't always have to have an explanation as well. If they can't understand why it's happening they aren't lying about it. They honestly can admit that they do nut understand something, usually they reach out to that specific company etc. then to try and get a better understanding.

I didn't say I believe everything they are saying. I believe in them more than anyone else in this business because I feel they do not shy away from getting into specifics. Lot's of ppl just try to say something and then there's no source or no explanation as to why. Just saying it for reactions, clicks you name it.
These guys love the field they work in and I can feel that when I listen to them. That might be just for me but I enjoy them a lot.

I recall in the past, my friend attempted to demonstrate the superiority and importance of using an S-video cable for PS1 games compared to the original RCA cables. He would pause the game and switch the video output settings so I could notice the differences.

Honestly even at 4K I can barely see the difference aside frame rate.

Having Blip on there makes a lot of sense for nerds! I know a ton of great video series that run through Blip, and having those on TV would be nice.

I get a ton of apps on my Samsung BlueRay player for free. Do the right thing MS, and make online gaming and the use of these apps free.
This is why the Xbox rules in the United States. We are the dumbest, and most wasteful consumers in the world, and Microsoft knows it. Who would have thought that you could bottle water and sell it??? Just send it over to the stupid Americans, they'll buy it. You have a Wii, PS3, and Cpu gaming that you can play online for free. What do we, the American public choose???? I'll just pay my $60 and say it is a better service. Hell, they even rose the price, and we said, well that's ok, we have cross game chat and the other consoles don't so that's worth the $60. Really?? Cmon people, stop giving your money away, and call Microsoft's bluff.
