John Bedford (Modojo): You won't read many reviews of Flashout 3D that don't make at least a passing mention of the Wipeout series that propelled the original PlayStation to such stellar heights. It's a futuristic, platformed racer that takes in a host of next-century, real-world locations in a series of races that swoop beneath buildings, send you soaring through the air, and throw a heap of power-ups at you as you whizz around the cityscapes.

Carl Williams writes, "Another week, another sales list. Some really great titles on sale this week including newer releases such as Battlefield 4 and Titanfall on PC. These retro related sales are quite limited so if you are going to grab them, grab them now while you can at these prices."

"With Jujubee confirming work on a sequel to futuristic racer Flashout 3D, studio CEO Michal Stepien shared some enlightening facts with BeefJack on the original game's development cycle, and detailed how they hope to make corrections in both process and design."

DG - WipEout is the undisputedly fore-running futuristic racing game on any platform. Hence, it comes as no surprise that others would try to imitate it, and build upon its success. Enter Flashout 3D, a futuristic racer that bears an uncanny resemblance to WipEout, mixing racing with combat. Keeping aside its somewhat obvious similarities with WipEout, how does Flashout 3D fare in its own right?
