yeah, sony said they wouldnt do anything over the top, and i dont remember hearing anything about nintendo news (maybe super smahs bros)

Have they even been paying attention to what Execs have been saying?.

This is the name of the session that will be given FEB 20th. *A Future Wide Open: Unleashing the Creative Community* otherwise known as the Keynote speech that will take place Wednesday morning at 10:30AM PST lol.

My top predictions focus on the XBL expansion they were talking about some weeks ago and exclusives with new hardware last on my list.

MSFT has also said they have "serveral" Exclusives to announce Fable 2 will be on the back burner despite its appeal.

I'd say you're right about that MS keynote.

They are at a Game DEVELOPERS Conference. There is going to be much talk about XNA and XBLA.

Small teams, quick releases, smaller budgets -- tie it together with the natural fit with the casual gaming space and voila: instant gamer gold.

More, better, faster, cheaper. We *do* know that MS is going to be showcasing community-built XNA titles.

Fable has a very respectable 8.5/10 on metacritic, and has sold somewhere near 3 Million copies.

Any Western RPG fan is excited to see more of Molyneux's Fable.

If you want to play it, you'll have to buy a Xbox 360. Or you can continue to tilt at windmills and troll Xbox 360 threads. You're choice: Enjoy a great game or hate.

if anything needs to be shown to the public, now is the time.

Sony better get as much hype as possible from this event or there titles will se dicrease in number of sales, and im thinking of MGS4 and Haze.

Ok, if people are saying that Killzone 2 should not excite anyone because Killzone 1 sucked, then why is anyone excited for Fable 2? Fable 1 was terrible. The story was generic and lame (something that cannot be tolerated in an RPG) and the game was really short. It had a bunch of things in it, but did not execute them well. Oblivion did everything right that Fable 1 failed at.

Fable: 8.5/10 average.
Killzone: 7.0/10 average.

Fable: Developed by Peter Molyneux, creater of Populous, Dungeon Keeper and Black & White, which are water-shed classics.
Killzone 2: Developed by Guerilla, who has made two mediocre games. Thats it. A record of mediocrity.

Fable: Molyneux's promising -- and has a record of delivering -- to bring innovation to WRPG genre.
Killzone 2: A generic shooter entering a field with many highmarks, and Guerilla is going to have a hard time competing with Halo, COD, Splinter Cell, MGS and even Warhawk. KZ2 appears to be more of the same, a totally familiar, uninspired sameness.

You == epic fail.

1. Insomniac will announce a release date for Resistance 2.
--we havent had ANY form of media from the game except screenshots, do you really think we'll get a solid release date?

2. Sony announces new details for Home.
--most likely not, Sony said their not doing anything big for it

3. Microsoft makes an Xbox 360 hardware announcement.
--*cough*noshitsherlock*cough *

4. Fable 2 once again excites the gaming world.
--fable 1 was mediocre at best

6. No new major announcements will be made.

*** Disagree. Sony will show and/or speak of in-home development to this audience. We (gamers) will get insight into what home will be by virtue of hearing what tools the developers will be given.

*** Half agree / disagree. I expect a Dual-Format HD-DVD & BR add-on. Cant say if it will replace the existing unit or be a new option.

4. Fable 2 once again excites the gaming world.
--fable 1 was mediocre at best
*** 100% Disagree. Fable was a fantastic game, got great reviews and sold well. You've clearly never played it. Since you're interested, you can play it on the the Xbox 360, because all Xbox 360s are backwards compatible and Fable is available on Xbox Originals.

So if anyone wants to play Fable they can choose between PC or Xbox, the new Fable is another history :)

What's with the Obama Avatars? (off topic, I know) Did he beat Hillary(please say yes!) or is he just suddenly all the rage for avatars?

On Topic:

I PREDICT!!!! The same thing GamePro predicted.... except.... gameplay video of Resistance 2. Closed demo of Resistance 2(hey I can dream cant I?!). Possibly a Folklore sequel... uhm...... LBP and Home exact release dates.

appealed to PC gamers. Horrible attempt of converting console gamers into ARPGs. They need lessons from BioWare imo.

Yes I did play Fable and it was super weak. Super weak indeed, and dont bring in reviews remember reviews are bought out opinions.

Not to be rushing things here.. But as a PS3 and former 360 owner (RROD) The HD era has got to be the slowest moving generation of all time.. We are still looking forward to video clips and anouncements for games that we seen at E3 05!!!.. I love videogames just as much as the next man but DAMN.. Ever since last year all i been hearing is "Man its over for _______ console when _______ game comes out"..
Im glad tho that the PS3 and (to some extent) 360 games are getting beyond the FPS box.. every good game last year worth a damn were FPS games.. If your game of choice last year was NOT a FPS it was looked down apon, and greatly ignored.. Unless it was a Legendary Nintendo franchise game lol..

But i hope they speed this up alittle.. Bout time these "great HD games" on 360 and PS3 come out.. We will be on our way to 2009..
