A Look at Mass Effect 3's Uneven Wii U Outing

1up - You win some and lose some with the new port of BioWare's hot-button RPG.

here' hoping Mass Effect 4 will be better on the Wii U (by then, hopefully they release the trilogy too, make it the quadrilogy or something.

You can always count on EA to give Nintendo gamers a lousy port.
I'm sure they'll blame everyone but themselves for lackluster sales on Wii U.
Why not just sabatogé your own success? Save other developers' time taking chances with Nintendo by pointing to a lazy, half-assed version of a great game. I can hear it now...
"Deciding not to put the ME Trilogy on Wii U was the right decision"...

LAME!!

The port is made by Straight Right, not EA and not even Bioware. Yes EA is releasing it, but they had little to nothing to do with the quality of the port. It's not like tampering with a game still in development. EA deserves hate for many things, but not sure I'd point the finger at them for this in particular.

That doesn't matter. EA hired them so it is still EA's responsibility.

Passing a project you expect to fail to someone else to offload blame from yourself is one of the oldest tricks in the book.

EA deserves fool blame for this no matter what the person they contracted did.

It also means those that are messing with it to port it, aren't the ones that created it, so they don't know much about it other than reading the code notes, but that's not the same as having a good portion of the team that originally made it.

All on a new machine no less. Probably with less talented and experienced coders as well. Can't be for sure, but generally the big boys pay for the better talent. Doesn't mean there aren't a few core people that are good, but top to bottom EA will have on average better talent and experience than most lesser devs.

they have everything to do with the quality of the port . No one forced them to hire an external studio that couldnt do the job well .

Hell there was an opportunity there to stop rushing things and release instead sometimes in the future the mass effect trilogy . They didnt take it .

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast527d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman527d ago
