halo 4 mp is great its not perfect but i think currently its the best mp out there :) theres a few things i would like changed though like instant respawns are cool but they should not be in 4v4 slayer they work well in other game modes though. and there needs to be a free for all game mode

I think 343 did a great job, but I'm hoping for more familiar-looking Halo-styled maps with the DLC packs coming out down the line...I enjoy the current maps, and like that they included Valhalla (Ragnarok) but still feel like something is missing in that regard.

The Forge mode also has me at a loss considering that Reach really had a much better option. Forge World was huge and fans cried out for more diverse landscapes, but instead were given not only the same tools, but much smaller landscapes to build on in Halo 4...which is a shame considering how great Halo 4 plays and especially on custom-built maps.

Other than that, the game is absolutely stunning and damn near perfect. It has an unmatched fun factor to it.

Edit: Also want to see Multi-team and Team Doubles come back. Wondering why they weren't there in the first place. And Spartan Ops is pretty great, but I still would like to see Firefight return in some capacity.

I personally cannot get into the new mp for halo. I miss the old matchmaking style based on ranks and similar skill pairing. I've never been huge on cod games, but after looking into league play, I've converted to cod for serious competitive gaming. I will hold onto halo, when I feel like screwing around.

I'm enjoying Halo 4 right now, but 343i needs to seriously release a major patch to settle all the issues people are having, especially with the custom games options and some matchmaking and file share problems.

The maps are great, imo, even the new ones. My favorite is haven right now, with ragnarok a close second.

Also, de-scoping when fired upon needs to return or the flinching when shot needs to be buffed to the point where the person who fires the first shot has some sort of advantage over the opposing player.

Rumour: Halo Remake Is Coming to PS5, Will Feature 'Modern Gameplay Mechanics'

Halo will make its PS5 debut with a massively modernised remake of the original Xbox game, Combat Evolved.

That’s according to the Halo Leaks account on X (or Twitter), which has accurately outed information about the franchise in the past.

I expect this to be announced pretty soon. Can't wait, this game was awesome. I wonder how of a remake it'll be though, hopefully not a remaster because we already have that lol.

S2Killinit226d ago

It needs to be a complete redo of graphics or else its not my cup of tea.

hennessey86226d ago

it will be running on unreal engine 5, so it will look good. The question is will it run as good as it looks

GenoPurpel226d ago

I think they teased it a few months back when they announced Halo studios. It does look quite incredible graphically but as Hennessy says above, how it runs is gonna be a different story given UE5 track record.

darthv72226d ago

it would probably be like the gears of war reloaded. Which was a remake of the remaster of the original.

...this gen is getting confusing with so many re-whatevers.

@S2K: “ It needs to be a complete redo of graphics or else it’s not my cup of tea.”
I completely agree with you and would add a VR mode as well🥺

oh yeh, theres like a showcase soon, maybe they'll announce it there.

or at the game awards

but ue5 only looks pretty. the games run ..
abit weird.

Notellin226d ago

It's being shown at the Halo World Championships which they had already announced a few weeks ago.

RaidenBlack226d ago (Edited 226d ago )

Better reboot than another re-touch (remake after an already remaster) .... but 343/Halo is incompetent now, so .... guess this is best they can do with help of Coalition

pwnmaster3000226d ago

So much memories with halo.
The original Xbox was my first console (actually 64 but barely played) and the first game was halo. Me and my brother use to play coop almost everyday.
We eventually traded in for a PS2 because of kingdom hearts lol

maximusprime_226d ago

I played the first 2 Halo games. That's Bungie's Halo.. I do not know whether 343's Halo is as good as Bungie's.

Either ways Halo is one of Microsoft's big franchises. So many rumours so it's becoming more likely it'll come to PS5

darthv72226d ago

Halo 3 is Bungie's game... so is Reach and ODST. 4, 5 & 6 (Infinite) are 343's. They aren't bad... just different. The original trilogy story ended and should have finished there. But MS wanted to 'Star Wars' this franchise and came up with new stories that sort of just sit there.

You haven't missed out much since Bungie left.

Halo art director leaves studio after 17 years with ominous message alluding to discontent

Glenn Israel writes: "As of today and after seventeen long years, I am officially no longer contributing to the Halo universe. There is little more I can say for the moment, though I intend to share this particular story in its entirety when it is absolutely safe to do so next year. In the meantime, I have a message for anyone and everyone who needs to hear it.

I know that the state of our industry seems dire, but never forget that you are *free to choose*. No illusion of security nor promise of wealth or fame or power is worth trading away your health, your dignity, your ethics or values - and no one can force you to. Stay strong, take evidence when necessary, and find where you belong."

My god.
There's a story for next year.

VenomUK231d ago

I’m really disappointed to learn there are still people/morale problems. I thought the whole point of rebranding 343i to Halo Studios was to signal that real changes had been made - not to cynically rebrand to paper over the problems.

I really hope the Halo CE remake is great and gets people hyped for the future of the series.

DarXyde230d ago

It's inevitable with the modern landscape. Even if some issues have been assuaged, new ones crop up all the time.

I'm willing to bet AI and the lack of regulation is causing substantial upset.

shinXseijuro231d ago (Edited 231d ago )

He said something very marking . We tend to complain a lot about the industry but deep down I realize that we never have we been offered this crazy amount of games all available for you to play now . You can literally play any sorts of games in 2025 . Nobody is forcing you to buy the latest COD or the latest BF . You’re more of a 8 bit cozy gaming guy there’s a whole niche of modern games for that . You like micromanaging there’s games for that . I feel like we have been spoiled so much we just stopped being realistic and thinking for ourselves . We follow trends cry about stuff online when you are the buyer you have the power .

Notellin231d ago

I'm not buying any games until another Immersive sim is made.

PhillyDonJawn231d ago

....wth happened over there?
Does this confirm a new Halo by next year?
What did they want him to do that made him feel it was morally wrong or a insult to his integrity?

-Foxtrot231d ago

Well how about that, a name change doesn’t fix internal issues

Who would have thought

jznrpg231d ago

MS was throwing money around for a long time but now it’s time to pay the Piper.

Road to HaloWC 2025 – September

Tashi writes: Back in June we let the community know that we’d be continuing the conversation from last year’s HaloWC and the “A New Dawn” video and sharing more about what we’ve been working on. Like last year we’ll be on the Main Stage to talk about it but this year we’ve also got a “deep dive” panel planned for the Community Stage that you won’t want to miss.
