Hitman: Absolution Review | PC Gamer

PC Gamer: "A passable stealth game, but one that betrays almost everything that, until now, has made Hitman great."

Such a shame, i shall still rent it, and play through it on super hard, see what i can salvage

Such a shame?

This is someone's opinion, yours may well be different.

Another splinter cell.

Why add tonnes of crap, bells and whitsles, bloom and lens flare.

Refine and improve upon the base oyu have worked on, not change it all and make it crappy.

Also, anothe shoddy port from Console to PC. Depressing.

Wow, although I'm a console gamer, Hitman has ALWAYS been superior on PC. So much so that I sold all of my Ps2 Hitman games and bought them on Pc a few years ago.

It's also worth noting that my heart shattered when the reviewer said "Hitman: Absolution goes… in a different direction" after talking about BM. BM was such a perfect game that I still play it today.

Good thing I've never played a Hitman game. I'll be playing this with an open mind without nostalgia goggles.

I can't wait.

Games change. They can't keep it the same way forever.

Exactly. But you really should pick up the old ones when the HD Collection comes out.

On the outside it looked like a simple thing: Hitman 3 would now be known by this name and include levels from Hitman 2 and 3 - the trilogy would all be in one place. But on the inside, at IO Interactive, much more was going on.

You mean destroyed it with this tethered single-player campaign BS... And only the first few levels of the third modern game were on the disc! I'll never support this crap at any price-point! They've lost me as a customer.

Hitman is, and has been, a remarkable series developed by some of the best. Some are better than others, but every Hitman is challenging and fun.

Sure, there have been some stumbles and fumbles, but always in pursuit of the perfect Hitman game. The most recent trilogy is a masterclass in level design.
