All in I'd say that including RLOD/YLOD and year head start PS3 and 360 numbers are at this point pretty much even, which is quite an achievement given the pricing entry point for the PS3!

Am glad that both sides are doing well as otherwise Sony may have lazed in their glory but instead have been releasing many great exclusives and innovative games this generation, Flower, Journey etc.

My hopes for next-gen are that Story, AI etc take a front seat from graphics as whilst graphics are nice they do not in any way make the game!

I hope game prices don’t change and given the investment Sony must have put in to produce the 1st party games they have this gen (utilising the cell and its multiple threads to the fullest) I think next gen ‘costs’ will hit them less than they will MS.

People will deny this but the PS3 hasn't failed in any region.

Oh and what happened to the 360s 10 million lead? Down to about a million which means that the PS3 has been outselling it otherwise the gap would be bigger.

But that doesn't really matter what matters is that there are a ton of great games to play on both systems (except the Wii because it doesn't count)

Funny how people brag about sales when they're not seeing any of that money.

It's pretty amazing to think a game released on one region and that region being the smallest of the 3 big markets can have such a gigantic impact on sales.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Is this like the 10th quarter in a row they're down 33% on hardware how is that even mathematically possible. You would think their mediocrity would Plateau
