WWC: "Think of every game that is slated to be released in the near future; they are all related. How, you might ask? Elementary, my dear readers; graphics. Each game looks better than the next, and that’s amazing. It wasn't long ago that imagination played a big part in experiencing games, but now we are being hand fed senses like crazy. Epic musical scores and photo realistic graphics, to name the big ones. I think these graphics are awesome, but I don’t believe they’re our saviors from mediocre games."

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
Only people who gives a darn about graphically heavy games are the PC crowed, but hey, if I'm spending half a grand on my gaming console in the year 2012 and beyond you bet your butt I better be getting graphics with my gameplay..
Though this is my answer the proposed question; "do graphics matter" (the author of this article also seems to believe that it doesn't)?
I always read on gaming sites (N4G specifically) about how gamers enjoy playing retro titles on their gaming devices. Sure, resolution may've been improved, better frame rates, and clearer sound quality, but the title's essence that makes it a true classic, is the main reason why we still indulge in the nostalgia, every now and then.
Read the article, like most of people here think is the conclusion: Good graphics is great but good gameplay is important as well.
PC gamers care about graphics soo much they buy insane amount on advanced tech only for never even close to be fully utilised unlike console which get eveyr last bit of juice squeezed out of their hardware then you take a massive leap.
its like buying a ferrari and driving it and 20mph, Uncharted 2 and 3is still the best looking game on all platforms becasue graphics is soo much more than how high a resolution you have or how many particle per second can be created, or how volumetric smoke blah blah blah
animation and polish is about as important as you can get in games, mix that with amazing tech like the sand in ucharted 3 and you have the best looking game created.
Also a PC game can never have the polish of a console exclusive game as developers dont have complete final control over how a game looks on a PC. I cant wait to get halo 4 on my xbox and see the visual majesty all the reviewers are talking about....on 7 year old hardware
PC gamers can keep talking about their uber rigs and Ill keep laughing at how redundant upgrading your rigs in this modern era of gaming has become....hence why i havent upgraded in 3 years
Just look at dishonored ! Art not graphics.
