I loved Resident Evil 4 back in the day and enjoyed Resident Evil 5 even though I had to do co-op to beat the final boss. Shiva was just too dumb.
Resident Evil 6 on the other hand, was so bad that I stopped playing after an hour in the game. That was before I even played any high-quality single-player games outside of Mass Effect, Portal, and Skyrim. I can't imagine playing RE6 now.
Chances are their next remake will be 5.
I just don't get why it's already on the platforms via BC unless it's a remake which would piss everyone off as fans are hoping for either the original game or code veronica to get the remake treatment

We have already witnessed how far they are willing to take things from the likes of Resident Evil Revelations which launched exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS entertainment system. I believe that Capcom can and will make this happen eventually. The Nintendo Wii U entertainment system seems to have obtained proper 3rd party dev support, and a great start for the next generation of our forever evolving hobby.

Resident Evil might need a bit of a reboot. They really need to get back to basics and start figuring out what made the series great and make it palatable for the modern gaming audience.
Revelations was a great game. If there is going to be a Resident Evil for Wii U, I'd love to see what the Revelations team could pull off.
What I would like to see more of Capcom do with Resident Evil. Have a game like RE4 with tons of action in short spurts (who can forget the first time playing through the first 30 min of RE4) with then adding more mansion type exploration and scares. Forget the car chase crap. That is not what Resident Evil is supposed to be about. I would rather be exploring and open a door and have a walker scare the hell out of me, or open a closet and have walker jump out at me!!!
