Xbigy Games Writes: Doom 3: BFG Edition has been annoying quite a few FPS fans recently. Last week news about the re-release of the Xbox/PC game confirmed that there is no advantage of installing the game. Betheseda even came out and advised players not to install the game on their consoles.
Things appear to have got worse, with new claims that half of the ‘new’ content called The Lost Mission uses cut and pasted areas from the main campaign.
Github’s ‘Codes4Fun’ has released a really interesting mod for the BFG Edition of Doom 3. This mod adds HTC Vive and actual motion controller support to Doom 3, letting PC gamers experience id Software’s shooter in VR.
this game is amazing amazing experience in VR. I never had so much scary goose bump moment in VR or any previous game.

Doom 3 BFG Edition and Ultimate Doom have been discounted to just $2.50 each. The 2016 reboot of Doom is also on sale for as low as $19.99.

this game is awesome and people should embrace the fact that they are basically including everything in one package.
Obviously the game is dated compared to modern shooters, but it is unfair to make such comparisons. PLay it for what it is and you will usrely enjoy it.
Also, for those who have not played the original PC version, it is very cool to finally play the game on consoles. I played it on the original xbox, but it was a downgrade from the PC version.
As for the lost missions, they are basically a bonus. I would have bought the copilaiton even without it, so i really dont mind.

PS3 here too and this game rocks. You get a complete game (that mind you is 10 years old) and it looks great. You can't get away from the goofy Human body shapes i mean it is 10 YEARS OLD! lol but upgraded for consoles to 1080p and from 30fps to 60fps. This game looks pretty as hell and is silky smooth at 60fps i love it. The new content is nothing more then a bonus. You don't get this game at 40 bucks and expect alot more then what you are already getting. Not to mention you get the two classic games. Way way WAY to much hate going on against this game. I think out of the 10 reviews ive read and seen 2 have given it what i would have an 8/10 or a 4/5 stars. Not suprisingly these are from G4 and IGN. The tend to get it. To many off shoot reviews from bitter gamers.
