Resident Evil 6 is a prisoner of its own expectations. It’s a game that’s hindered by the genre it helped define.

A new rating of Resident Evil 6 for Xbox has been spotted, which could suggest that it's getting a current gen port for Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
I loved Resident Evil 4 back in the day and enjoyed Resident Evil 5 even though I had to do co-op to beat the final boss. Shiva was just too dumb.
Resident Evil 6 on the other hand, was so bad that I stopped playing after an hour in the game. That was before I even played any high-quality single-player games outside of Mass Effect, Portal, and Skyrim. I can't imagine playing RE6 now.
Chances are their next remake will be 5.
I just don't get why it's already on the platforms via BC unless it's a remake which would piss everyone off as fans are hoping for either the original game or code veronica to get the remake treatment

GF365: "The iconic survival horror franchise Resident Evil boasts a great number of popular and memorable characters. Arguably, Leon S. Kennedy is the most popular and recognizable character aside from Jill Valentine. In this article, we'll be counting down every Resident Evil game Leon is featured in, ranked."
Yeah I figured it would be ordered like this. For me Leons best game was his debut. RE2.

The modern entertainment industry has witnessed the rise of the Resident Evil franchise as one of its most renowned and celebrated multimedia phenomena. With numerous video games released across multiple platforms, it can be daunting for newcomers to determine where to commence their journey. So here is every main mainline Resident Evil Games ranked.
In preparation for the highly anticipated Resident Evil 4 Remake, let’s take the liberty to rank each of the mainline story instalments, providing players with a fundamental comprehension of the Resident Evil universe.
What a retarded text. "three campaigns"??? What?Ada Wong is in some other game? The game is great.
I don't think RE6 is as bad as many made it out to be... from a gameplay perspective. Yes, the poor Uncharted copycat moments, bad camera and many other little things lack the level of detail and polish of RE4, but it is still playable and enjoyable most of the time. Of course, as my brother said, when the Gears of War/COD ripoff campaign is the smoothest and best of four there is a problem.
The major issue with the game is how stupid it is. What should have been an epic and dramatic story, instead remains buried under every action cliche ever concieved. Having some explosions and over the top moments is fine, but when 2 zombies jump on a car, forcing it to immediately roll over and explode with the characters in it, and then they walk out unharmed. You've nuked the fridge and then jumped a herd of sharks with said fridge.
That's right a herd of sharks.
And that's within the first ten minutes of the first campaign. It only gets more ridiculous with each new character and hour. I died twice on Jake and Sherry's final boss because I was laughing so hard.
It is a shame because the game hints so strongly at being an amazing title. There are so many great concepts marred by poor execution. Part of the problem is definitely Capcom and its recent trend of copying the worst (but richest) Western developers. And part of it, if we are honest with ourselves, is that gaming is moving in a different direction than what it was in our pasts.
And since sales numbers dictate the direction of games, I'm guessing when Leon blows his nose in RE7, the tissue explodes.
People used to say "there's no reason for the tank controls anymore!" and "why can't we walk and shoot at the same time?". Nowadays, people cry saying that the better controls takes away good part of the sense of fear...
