Can't go wrong with Bale, Jackman maybe though I don't know if he would fit. If they manage to get a good director everything will be fine. But thats the trick ain't it?

I don't think that a movie needs to be done live action.

As is, the games (MS3 in particular) are highly cinematic, broken with the occasional game play. If there was a way to translate that aspect of the game into a movie, with a good story, then screw live actors, cut the cost of the movie, and get it out fast.

See how viable that would be before spending more money and making a live action version.

If there is a MGS movie, it will be hated by the majority of gamers who like the series. Think about it, cramming a MGS style story into 2 hours? Where do you cut? You wouldn't have the crew of bosses standard for the series. Any longer and you turn off the general public, which will never happen since the production costs will be astronomical. It is an impossible feat, no one in Hollywood could pull it off.

If you turned it into a trilogy for one game it may be possible, or maybe one huge movie like Kill Bill, I hope this never sees the light of day to be honest with you all.

Well, first off let me say that I love The playing Metal Gear Solid games.If a live action movie was to be made;it would have to be as good if not better then the video games which will be hard to top because of the deep story which was be bought to life buy the CGI cut scenes.

as having real actors would be a good idea i would like them to make it like like how Final Fantasy movies are you know like the cutscenes are in the game

Personally I want this movie to be filmed like Avatar all computer animated if you add real people it's just going to look stupid because it looks like it has nothing to do w/ the game.
Since it's coming out in 2010 it'll be nice to see Kojima and the Sony team learn and observe from James Cameron.
Avatar is going to make history 1st real 3D movie in film studios w/ out the 3D Lenses in full 7.1 surround sound w/ special HD Screens being brought in just for that movie.
However nothing wrong w/ voice acting though like off of Final Fantasy the Spirits Within.
This is the reason why those game movies flopped because it took away from the essence of the game filming the movie this way will appeal to many crowds trust me on that.
Not to mention it's sponsored by 20TH CENTURY FOX and is 100% blu only
aka Blu-ray.

Well, I have only seen one video game to movie adaptation that I didn't enjoy immensely and that is the Super Mario Bros. movie. I loved DOA, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Hitman. I haven't ever been a big fan of MGS, but maybe this will get me into it? I love seeing movies of characters I have always loved to interact with in video games, so it is always a huge joy for me to watch such movies. I hope this one is as enjoyable to me as those in the past.
