An Australian rating classification reveals that Nintendo will publish Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate outside of Japan instead of Capcom. They did this with Monster Hunter Tri when it released on Wii years ago.
It appears Capcom and Nintendo are maintaining their tight relationship as it concerns the Monster Hunter franchise, at least for now. They should be publishing both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game.

All 21 Classic Games are playable for a limited time 🎮

The rejection is non-final (and even when such rejections are labeled as “final”, the process is far from over, given that there can be, at minimum, an appeal to the Federal Circuit).
Good, as they should! A game mechanic like that shouldn't be locked behind a patent, and Nintendo didn't invent it either.
Nintendo wants to keep wasting money on bullshit lawsuits, real smart in this economy. They should put that money aside for other game projects. On the other hand, I don't care if they waste it all either, and they are screwed in the future maybe that will teach them a lesson.

Jason Dietz: "We reveal the past year's best and worst video game publishers (based on their 2025 releases) in the 16th edition of our annual Game Publisher Rankings."
But... but... the garbage-mongers always tell us that Square Enix is in trouble! 😂
Well Capcom is part of the Tri-Force, it's only natural Nintendo get dibs on this franchise.
This is why you cannot take Nintendo so literally when they say that "we don't pay for exclusives". Of course they do in some way, shape, or form.
Nintendo and Capcom have always had a solid relationship through the better and darker days of Nintendos illustrious career of Elite gaming.
This title looks to be feature packed, and ready for Nintendo 3DS & Wii U entertainment system cross platform play. Something we will likely see more of from future Nintendo platform offerings. An exclusive like this will due its part to push the Nintendo 3DS entertainment system further into the leading position in regards to dedicated gaming handhelds. Also boosting the install base for the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system on arrival this holiday season.

As of now, Nintendo is on a role with securing 3rd party support for AAA quality 3rd party exclusive offerings. Us the Nintendo consumer will welcome Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate with open arms when released to stores wherever games are sold. I have personally never been big into the Monster Hunter franchise, but I will definitely give this one a go. After many gameplay videos, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate looks to be a worthy Nintendo platform exclusive built for my evolving collection.
Monster Hunter has a very good reputation within the East. It was a very smart business move on Nintendos part to cement this franchise (this iteration at least) as a platform exclusive. Hopefully the same actions are taken with later released Monster Hunter 4 as well. Which happens to be a Nintendo 3DS entertainment system exclusive for the time being. The Nintendo brand even before the release of the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system is already putting on an excellent performance in providing for the hardcore gamer. With the titles announced thus far, there literally seems to be a little something for Everyone. I expected nothing less.
Rated E For Everyone
It'll be my first 3DS/Wii U cross play title :P.
That can only mean 1 thing... Club Nintendo points!
