Kotaku - Red Barrels are a new studio based in Montreal. You've likely never heard of them, but there is some serious talent there.
The team, comprised mostly of ex-Ubisoft and EA developers, have worked on the Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, Prince of Persia, Thief, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, Army of Two and Skate franchises. Just to name a few.
Footage from what appears to be a prototype build of Red Barrels' first-person psychological survival horror game, Outlast, has emerged.

This sounds interesting. Red Barrels is teaming up with Lionsgate and renown horror producer Roy Lee to develop a feature film anchored in the rich and horrifying universe of the Outlast series.

this looks good.
I'm very happy to hear this news. But I'm kinda sad to see that it's PC only. Oh well
I lost complete hope in Capcom. They have failed to deliver the survival horror experience yet again.
I'm glad to see that these developers are taking the risk in trying to revive a genre that so many people want to desperately play.
As long as this game doesn't have co op, its on my radar.
Even though I'm slightly peeved this is in first person, I'm glad to see another survival horror in the mix and I will give this game a purchase if follows through in gameplay as well.
I have a Manhunt/Shutter Island vibe from it which I feel will lead to a unique experience.
was a little scary.
Sounds like The Last Of Us.
Anywho, this is only on PC so I'm not interested.
